Please Help Clueless New player with Trapper/Miner Build

Some small updates:

Finally got the trapper belt which makes a nice difference.
However the duration for traps to self activation still takes to long in my eyes (which is around 6 seconds atm) not sure whether there are ways to reduce duration time (seems there are only ways to increase it).

increased burning damage is a must for fire traps. they tear down enemies really quick now which is great and if used with single target and concentrated effect this will help versus rares / uniques big time in combination with bear trap.

had to step away from leap slam due to lower strength than required with the swap. its horrible; leap slam really is key for quick positioning around the battlefield. did try a lvl 1 leap slam but seems allot slower.
My question for this: how is the "speed" affected of leap slam is this by attack speed and/or gem level?
-EDIT-
Leap slam speed is affected by attack speed not by its level.
which is good but will need to find a weapon that combines attack speed with elemental damage or spell damage and allows the use of leap slam.
I have brightbeak atm which is great for leap slam due to 1.95 base aspd, but no further benefits for the traps.

changed my passive tree slightly to get both strength nodes along the path + decided I can take the bottom trap skills with some small repositioning.

Anyone else going EE? I'm working towards that, spam all three elements of traps (I have cold snap in my Deerstalker boots). I may attempt throwing in pain attunement later if I feel I can survive it... My biggest issue so far as been mana. I run out so fast. Working towards Templar starting area for reduced mana costs.

Speaking of deerstalkers, I highly recommend getting them as soon as you hit 22. That 30% movement speed after throwing a trap is ridiculous. You no longer need to have swiftness potions at all.
EE stands for?
-- Nvm should have been obvious lol, didn't had it planned but its on route so why the heck not ?

working towards Templar?
are you using witch for you build ?

Manawise I have near unlimited (100% regen from passive + 30-60% from items) and probably will get even better soon (so I can fully focus on other stats item wise).
using clarity (180=129 reduced) and discipline (reduced to 35-40%) with atm 20% reduction and less mana gem. in the end this would go up to 25% reduction and 45% increased effectiveness.
using atm firetraps-multi-burning damage 62 per throw
and with lightning trap-multi-light pen. 58 per throw
bear trap is single for now and counts for 49 per throw
I throw this as much as possible (throw 3 sets right at the start and as soon as one is ready to pop throwing next set)
also use(d) constant leap slam.

with deerstalkers I first thought It was awesome but don't really need it due to the effectiveness I found using leap slam (I even travelled faster using leap slam than most others).
However if you don't plan on using leap slam and plan to use the trap support gem it is a great item indeed, a must have even.
Personally I might be looking for rainbow stride or sin treks. unless I start to use a trap support gem for example cold snap.
