Autohotkey bannable or not ?

As previously stated, certainly to be safe you should probably email support.

That said, my inclination is to think that you are OK. At the end of the day, you are really only *doing* one thing which is to open a town portal.

Even an OOS hotkey involves 3 actions - open chat window, type /oos, close chat window. So while yours is more elaborate it really is the same thing (open inventory, right click portal scroll, close inventory) so I would guess it's allowed.

Then again, not sure if it will be anywhere near as good as auto logout in terms of avoiding deaths, since being stunned, frozen, and even potentially bad desync, will prevent you from being able to enter the portal.

I wonder if the "perform one action" refers to the end result... i.e. perform an /oos or cast a portal scroll, even though it takes multiple steps to perform that action.

So, "open inventory, cast portal scroll, close inventory" is okay but "Activate Aura Anger, Activate Blood Magic, Activate Cleave" would not be acceptable.

But both of those macros are more than one action...

and both are allowed. And by using Chris' statement below portal should be fine as well.

It's fine to have a button that causes /oos, or /remaining or casts an aura, but having a timer to repeat actions or a macro to cast all your auras is not allowed. This is because these are things that normal players cannot do, so they give advantages in terms of playing speed.

I would guess your macro is illegal as it sends 3 keypresses.


1st action : open inventory
2nd action: click portal
3rd action: close inventory


That is clearly turning 3 keypresses into one. Regardless of GGG's stance macros are lame.
