Summoning Totem
Not sure I am entirely understanding summon skeleton attached to a spell totem. Two things.
Thing 1: The totem seems to summon a number of skeletons and then stop. The number it summons exceeds the maximum amount of skeletons I may have as listed in the mouseover on the skill. Sometimes it seems to stop summoning at my maximum +1, and sometimes at my maximum +2. Can someone explain? Thing 2: I find it difficult to ascertain for certain, but the totem appears to re-summon skeletons under certain conditions. By re-summon I mean it will perform additional summons when (I believe) the maximum number of skeletons already seems to be in place (not sure), thus causing already summoned skeletons to disappear and be replaced by newer ones. I am unsure of the conditions under which the totem does this and would be grateful for clarification. Or maybe I am wrong entirely and someone can clear me up. Since I have Minion Instability, I would wish, ideally, for the totem to let my skeletons explode in an orgasm of fiery damage-dealing ecstasy before resummoning. Oh sorry I got carried away. The count will include the actual totem, so if you have a max of 10 skeles, expect it to be at 11 when your totem is on the field and has summoned the max number of skeles. When the limit is reached, the totem will still keep summoning skeles, replacing the oldest ones and causing those skeles to just disappear.

The totem will stop summoning once there are no enemies nearby to attack. The totem will summon unlimited skellies if enemies are close by.

Putting "increased duration" support on skeletons gains you skeletons that last longer. Putting "increased duration" on a skeleton gem with totem support gains you that as well -- or a totem that lasts longer? Or both?

" I'm no expert on minions, but do you have passive skills or items that increase the number of skeletons allowed, which may not update the skill tooltip? |

"No, a support can't modify a support, only an active skill. Increased duration supports the active skill. All of it - which includes the totem that skill summons when used, because that skill is supported by totem. | |
