Killing Dominus as a Summoner Witch

As the title indicates I'm having a hard time with the Dominus fight.
I'm currently playing on Nemesis and intend to stay there, so any advice would be highly welocme.

My build is a full Summoner Witch, currently lvl 42. I have most Minion nodes, perma curse und MInstability. Life&ES both 500, ca. 50% all-res, can summon 8 zombies(multi, dmg, life), 10 skeletons (totem) and 3 spectres (lifeleech, dmg, burning). Dmg skills are arc, fireball, firestorm, and curse of coice is enfeeble.

With a little caution I was able to clear the rest of the game with relative ease, but the Dominus fight is a brick wall for me. ALL minions literally die in a second in the first phase of the fight already, despite having more health than me. Not enough adds are dead to summon reinforcements, my totems keep getting focused, and I have to dodge attacks quite a bit.

I even tried to portal out, go to the solaris temple for reinforcements and portal back in.
Everything was dead on arrival. I suspect MI might be the problem here, since exploding minions seem to damage other minions.

Can you think of a legitimate way to win the fight with this character, or should I just quit and look for a group?

Would you mind posting your skill tree?

What comes to mind in terms of survivability Minion Ele resist/phys dmg reduction Support gem as well as Necromantic Aegis.
These should both help quite a lot to keep your minions alive.

Generally as a summoner you might want to consider just grouping up for this fight though.
My skilltree looks like this

Minion Ele resist would only affect the linked minion type, right?
Concerning the Aegis, the skill looks very promising but I don't think my witch could afford to become any more squishy. Also a lot of respecing would be in order, I propably can't gain that much more lvl on normal.

leveling as a summoner is very hard until your minion gems kinda outlevel the content, just using a Freezing Pulse with LMP faster projectiles lifeleech may do the trick, even if you didn't skill jack for it.

The other thing is your "life" - Hybrid isn't so easy in the first place and with 500ES my guess is you don't have any armor. So if you by chance reach the final phase the bleed will destroy you and your ES won't regenerate because you're getting hit way too often by adds or have a bleed debuff or whatever.
Not to mention that no minion ever will possibly survive the amount of ae-dmg dominus throws at you in his first stage.

So essentially until your minions can tank stuff and do enough dmg to keep themselfs alive with lifeleech, a summoner just sucks in my experience.
And for that perticular fight you might be able to pull it off with freezpulse if you were pure life with some armor, but as it is I don't see it happen.
I don't know, I found leveling quite enjoyable. I had zero problems with the other 3 "hard" bosses( Vaal and both Pietys).

But you may be right about the dominus fight. I mean, even if I could get to phase 3, I propably can't simply stand in the yellow circle and just take the hits. I have 2 instant health flasks, but that does't cut it.

Regarding my gear, you're saying I should prioritise life and armour? I have some leftover items in the bank, I'll reexamine them. Would a 40% block evasion shield help? Found that rather early on, but swapped it for an all-res one.
what i ment is armor and life is very important for the dominus fight because of the bleed and 100 adds that prevent you from recharging ES and do more dmg without armor.
Arctic armor might be worth a try but "trying" and hardcore and a mechanic that can kill you in 2 sec if it doesn't do the trick isn't as simple ^^

For all but the last phase lightning resist is rather important.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the constant bleed dmg in phase 3 only affects you if you're outside the yellow circle that goes alongside with it. Or is there another source of bleed dmg I don't know about (which is entirely possible since I've never gotten that far ^^).

As for the resists, the 3 bosses in phase 1 each have a corresponding element, and phase 2 is purely lightning, right? Maybe I can get that up to 75, while maintaining the other 2 at 50.

I'll try to trade some gear that's more on the heavy side of things, and give it another go.
Also, before I forget, can I enfeeble each of the 5 bosses involved? I have a feeling that would help greatly.
the bleed dmg appears in stacks - while there is bloodrain you get stacks continuously, but they don't do dmg and arn't shown as long as you are in the bubble.

However, the boss makes a cleave attack that applies 2 stacks, and while they do no dmg as long as there is a bubble, you may get hit near the end of the bloodrain and take during the remainder of the duration dmg.
Also you can't really dodge the boss and the adds both in close quarters unless you kill them very fast - and with dead minions this won't happen.

So even if you manage to recharge you ES out-of bloodrain it's probably totally useless during the hard part.
It appears that Dominus was introduced so people won't play Summoners and Sporkers in solo hardcore.
My wife stole 10 levels from me, and my job stole another 2. That is why I am still level 88.
Great, now I have to reroll entirely because my Summoner Witch seems to not be meant to solo the last boss.
