Creating PROGRAMS for PoE, What do people want?
Oh boy I have the perfect one, and it should be perfectly fine to do.
Make a gem tracker mod. One that keeps tally of all the gems in my stash/characters their level and quality. Huge HUGE bonus points if there's a way to make it reflect the location in your stash. Countless times I've asked myself "do I have this gem?" And search my gem page fruitlessly and end up buying it when it was on another toon or I just overlooked it. |

" I would love a generator or some simulator of a unique to drop ratio. So for example it would take your characters iir/iiq and then figure out the change for a unique to drop. Im not sure this is possible because GGG has not released any of the #s but i think it would be cool. |

A program that loads your character and farms while you're at work would be helpful. Can you make that?

It would be nice if GGG would make something where community members can make models/textures that would be used in-game. Not really items (which is what people pay for), but just environment pieces like barrels, crates etc. Kind of like what TF2 does with hats.

To the people who are saying things like "play the game how it was made or not at all" I think what the OP is asking about is for ideas as to what he c could make that might assist us with the game without modding the actual game, much like I have seen websites that people use to track stats and trade offers and such... (OP correct me if I'm wrong) but that to me sounds like you would be able to do it without causing any trouble at all for yourself or anyone using it, really it would just be something that holds information and assists players in some way with it... Obviously I cannot give many details as I am unsure as to what specific mod is going to be wanted but to my understanding... Mod may be the wrong work for what you mean.
Perhaps software like you mentioned further into your post would be MUCH more fitting and could help providing you do the right stuff (:D) although the map and weapon drop info thing that someone mentioned would likely be one of the more useful examples. As to that one post asking to make a macro type thing that would play while the player is at work, you cannot be serious right? that would be out of the question for sure (:P) why would you even want to do that, it voids the point of even playing the game! My reply to the comment about custom models and textures, that would be pretty neat, but allowing users to do so would could be good and bad and would require a lot of documentation work to be done on behalf of GGG for the artists working on the art, as so to ensure that a certain level of quality is met, then there is the issue of that feature would make the 'Custom Content' in the shop that lists for $1,000 useless in a sense. Of course I am just repling, not trying to jump on you or anything (:D) @Mikelodeon, your "one key to rule them all" made me laugh so hard for a moment... You can do this legitimately without making any form of mod, if you have a gamepad some of them are pretty cheap, I use it for my 3d work more than gaming though (XD) then you can assign one button to all of those button, but of course, who knows if pushing them all at once will work in game or not... Most of them will allow you to set a delay too as well I think, well the ones that allow more advance settings in the preferences, and that might be a solution if they won't work from pressing at once... (:D) Although I don't know if this was a serious request or not? +---------------------------------
