Slow patch downloading...
You can circumvent the load balancer by explicitly specifying the server to use using the command-line arg: -p <host:port>
I recall there being a "backup" server however I can't remember the hostname; maybe someone else here can. "The problem is there ARE secure netcodes" -- Pewzor

Today when downloading 3kb of last update windows hangout (while downloaded 0kb of 3kb ¬¬) and after force rebooting windows the Content.ggpk was... corrupted! WTF!?
As the client says: " I had to download again ALL 4GB data but my brother give me his updated 4GB Content.ggpk and now it works! :D The question is (to a developer of this game): is this action considered something like cheating? I don't want to be banned or similar. Thanks in advance |

" No.. it is not cheating to take the Content.ggpk file from someone else because yours becomes corrupt. In fact, it saves GGG money when you do that. Just make sure that the Content.ggpk file you're getting has not been modified. Modification of the data is against the rules, but using someone's unmodified Content.ggpk file is fine. |

happening to me too. GG GGG
I am a warrior. I was born to fight and death is my brother. I do not fear him. I see him in the eyes of the men and beasts that I kill. I feel him traveling beside me to this new land, this Wraeclast. He will take me to meet the ancestors when I am ready, and I am not ready.

Well, after some plays using my brother's context.ggpk the game crashed sometimes when going from one waypoint to another. It says that can't decode some .ogg and other textures...
Tomorrow I will download all 4GB data and backup it. |

Try patching while connected to a VPN. That's often times much faster.
Usually the problem with slow download speeds is the CDN node you're being sent to. I patched in under 2 minutes completely from start to finish (including Checking Resources and Allocating Space).. so it's not specifically an issue with GGG server, and the CDN is not technically part of the GGG network as they are distributed. |
