Questions about increased damage, increased critical damage and critical weakness

I think the best way to ask my questions is to look at a specific case :

•My weapon has an average of 100 physical dmg
•My other equipments gives me an average of +20 lightning dmg and +10 physical dmg.
•I’m using level 11 heavy strike (deals 150% of base dmg, + 40% increased physical dmg) linked with lvl 9 increased critical dmg (80% increased critical strike dmg).
•I’m hitting a level 1 mob without any resistances (physical or elemental), cursed with lvl 11 critical weakness (+60% extra dmg from critical strike).

If I hit the monster once with heavy strike, what’s gonna be my dmg if I don’t crit and what is it gonna be if I crit ?

Here’s how I'd do the calculations :

•150% base dmg from heavy strike = (100 + 10 physical dmg) + (20 lightning dmg) * 1.5 = 165 physical dmg + 30 lightning dmg
•40% increased physical dmg from heavy strike = 165 physical dmg *1.4 = 231 physical dmg + 30 lightning dmg
•80% increased critical strike dmg (from the support gem) = 231 physical dmg *1.8 + 30 lightning dmg *1.8 = 416 physical dmg + 54 lightning dmg (If I crit)
•Hitting a mob cursed with lvl 11 critical weakness (60% increased critical damage) = 416 physical dmg *1.6 + 54 lightning dmg *1.6 = 666 dmg + 97 dmg (if I crit)

So the answer would be : 231 physical dmg + 30 lightning dmg if I don’t crit and 666 physical dmg and 97 lightning dmg if I crit.

I’m I wrong ? If yes, what are the mistakes in my calculations ?

Yeah, critical strike combined with critital weakness are Evily good !

This stat is increaseing the critical strike multiplier, not the damage directly. Whenever you crit, your critical strike damage multiplier is applied to your damage (obviously a crit should deal more damage than a regular hit even if you don't spec into crits). The default value for this multiplier is 150% (1.5x damage on crit). You have an 80% increase to the multiplier, 150 * 1.8 = 270, so you'll get 2.7x damage when you crit.

Critical weakness does not grant "increased critical damage" - you noticed this when listing the stats but not here. It applies to how much extra damage is taken from the crit - i.e. the amount of damage above 100% of regular damage your critical strike multiplier grants. So in your case, your multiplier being 270%, you'll deal 100% damage, plus 170% extra damage affected by the 60% from critical weakness.

Ok, so my crit dmg (on a non-cursed mod) will be (231 physical + 30 lightning) * 2.7 (1.5*1.8) = 624 physical + 81 lightning.

So, If I understand correctly, my crit dmg on a cursed mob will be (231 physical + 30 lightning) * 3.72 (1+1.7*1.6) = 859 physical + 112 lightning

I have not checked the actual result numbers, but the formula appear correct now.
