How is this game now? vs D3

Hi all, I am a D3 HC player, I've spent hundreds of hours farming in D3 since the beginning of 2013. But I recently finally got my WD to 100, tried all the possible builds, and now kinda lost interest. Sometimes I play console version, which is cool, but I now just want to try something new.
So I am wondering how the game is so far.

It's free, so I suggest you give it a try, as that's really the only way to get a genuine feel for the game.


It doesnt play nearly as smooth as D3 does, but there's much much more variety in build options and equipment. It's far from perfect IMO, but it's certainly worth giving it a go if you liked D3.

well here you will never try all build. Not even for a class. Maybe not even for a skill. It is a lot more complex game, a build guide is around 6-7 pages, compared to the 6 skil 6 rune in diablo. If you are willing to put some time in it (and if you have a paragon 100 barb you will) then you will enjoy this game a lot more, as here you can make your char unique. The new content is immense, really worth to try

I used to play D3 almost a year ago, but got bored of the broken economy in D3, and also the builds are quite boring.

Then I discovered PoE, and the first look at the skill tree, I was thinking this is it, this game has far more potential!

Almost a year on, still playing and enjoying PoE.

Nobody can tell you how you will enjoy the game, I enjoy both games for different reasons.

I would say if D3 kept your attention for hours, this game will most likely do the same.

For me PoE feels more like D2 than D3, it also looks more like D2 (I prefer D3 graphically).

There are, as stated, many paths and options for gear/skills/passives which I like. However there are still, for each general type of build/concetp, a few skills that are superior to anything else.

If you liked D2, give this a try. I personally feel like the HC aspect of this game is a bit more challenging than D3's was. Especially with the 4-month leagues. Also, with those leagues, you get a little more depth with your time spent, as you can involve yourself in the challenges.

PoE is better in every way.

Path of Exile.
Better Texutre Grafics.
Tousends os Ways to Create a Character tousend ways to fail...

Im not Sure Ive I gonna play Path of Exile again.
I just the way you can easly fark you char up.
Also my english is not the best so im somtimes confused what Gems are duing ect.

I miss the Physic engine in PoE :(
