Blood Magic + Mortal Conviction working correct?

Hi guys,
this would actually be a question directed to GGG!

Is the new node Mortal Conviction working as intended right now?
To me it reads that an Aura that costs 60% will be reduced to 30% because Auras have "30% less mana reserved".

But instead it has the same Effect as the "5% reduced mana reserved" nodes.
so 0.6*0.7 = 0.42 => 42% mana reserved.

If it is working as Intended right now then BM is dead. I took 2x 4%, 1x 8% and 1x 5% reduced mana reserved + mortal convition and I run them in an Alpha's Howl. And still Anger takes 21% of my life. Anger + Wrath take 2947 life in total (42%). So this is not viable at all.

I'm very supprised since Chris said that BM will be quite powerful.
I'm sorry but if the mechanic is working as inteded right now he was horribly wrong.


Would be great to get a fast answer so I can make a new build for my LA-Ranger.

You will reduce a 60% aura with Mortal Conviction to 42%.

The passive is the equivalent of a high level reduced mana gem. Not useless, but keep in mind the game is now designed to not allow more than 2 or 3 auras at once. You will be hard pressed to run 4.

Every Aura costs 21% of my life this means 1 Aura costs 1500 life.
I can't run 2 Auras then because I will have to less life and I will die.

If I use a BM Gem then I can run 3Auras this would be FAR superior and the BM keystone would be rendered useless.

As you can see it is not a matter of stacking 4 Auras, it's a mattar of BM beeing viable or not. as simple as that.

Run 4, lol. Even running 2 with 3 or 4 of the other reduction passives as well you would be lucky if you still have half of your HP's left.

I hope GGG has the ability to query how many 60+ characters have blood magic after the patch, because I would bet money its less than 0.1%. It is just a leveling up keystone at this point.

It's not useless at all. Note that this is 30% less reservation mana, meaning it multiplicatively augments all other reservation reduction nodes you take, as well as the Prism Guardian reduction.

edit: Some quick math is telling me that Blood Magic + Mana Conviction + Prism Guardian + Reduced Mana gem = .70 * .75 * .71 * 60% = 22% percent life reserved per aura. And that's before you take any additional reduction nodes.
