Determination?

So like, did they just forget to buff the worst aura in the game or something?

I'm pretty sure 51% MORE armor is strong. I don't think it needed changing.

Determination is arguably the strongest aura in the game.

it is only good if you play a very specific build .


Ie a high base armor with shield + alot of armor and block passives.


Unfortunately, if you don't max armor , det really wont do much for you. you used to be able to make up for it with iron reflexes + grace if you did not want a shield.

that doesn't work so well. 50% more of a lower armor value will still be as low armor value.

Yeah, that's the problem. You need a shield like lioneye's for Determination not to suck balls.

What they need to do is change it to base armor like Grace.

had the same thought/fear. biggest problem i see: you cant run grace + IR + determination to buff your armour anymore (if you want to run a damageaura as well). or they have such effective reduction-passives...

well, dont know, but i think my old duellist-build will have a hard time. i used 5 auras, hoped i could drop only grace and anger, now it looks like haste has to go as well. dont think that the buff to hatred can compensate that, and i will definetly lose MUCH defenses... dont like.

You seem to be forgetting something. Aura's are not supposed to be beneficial or mandatory for every character. It's not a problem that an aura is only good for so many characters.

Well no shit things like Vitality wouldn't benefit a CI user, but Determination is terrible for every armor build unless you're using a shield. That's broken.

Determination has always been a good aura to use. It's just that some people prefer other % auras, so they don't have a chance to use it. I am going to make a melee/life/armor char and I am pretty sure I will run Determination + some other % aura. It pretty much depends on your gear though, if you are stuck with low flat armor, your Determination won't really help as much as other auras, but if you can atleast get a 2k+ chest and maybe some 1k+ helm, Determination will get you shitloads of armor, that helps if you are lazy to get endurance charges or maybe you just want to use some unique low/no armor gloves/boots etc.

Determination is the worst aura in the game? :D
