It's not a buff to BM directly, it's an additional notable passive behind it, probably reduced aura costs or something similar.
If this is indeed the case, it would have to be INCREDIBLY powerful to enable the player to use even a singular aura with Blood Magic, considering ALL (except Clarity) auras reserve 60% life/mana. This can be reduced to 42,6% with a max level reduced mana gem. So it would have to be around a 50-75% reduction to mana/life reservation to make me even think about using auras with Blood Magic.
Don't forget the other reduced mana reservation passives - i guess if you want the BM keystone and auras you will have to get that new notable and some minor other nodes as well (20% reduced mana reservation is accessible in the current version and all those nodes are near enough to the BM keystone to be usable)

"Reserved Life uses prior mana values"
Only way I see this working without totally trivializing other reduced reservation nodes on the tree.

My guess is that it changes the % to a straight value.
For example 60% becomes 60 life, although it should be modified by a multiplier such as 2x or more. So 60% becomes 120 life.
He said BM builds are stronger than ever, so this would make sense. However, BM gem linked with auras is not almost useless I think.

They didn't say stronger than ever, rather they said it's still very strong.

Go low life, stack ES, and get Shav's (which actually got buffed), what is the problem?
Crafting doesn't exist in POE. Gambling does...and the house always wins.
Velocireptile - I LOL'ed. Which made me fart. I wish the office were empty right now :(
Hardlicker - I had to push the dog out of the way so I could get to the sexy quilt.

If you are able to comfortably run 2 auras with bm and the mystical passive behind it with a reduced mana gem then ill be happy.
If not then that is really going to suck.

I'll repeat for clarity - Blood Magic is stronger than it has ever been now that the auras are so powerful and you can mitigate their costs so much.

Also the notable is 30% less reservation on the current Alpha build. You can get Reduced Mana, reduced reservation nodes, and the Less Reservation notable. These all multiply off of eachother.
With a 30% reservation reduction, Reduced Mana gem, and the notable behind BM an aura would cost:
60% * 0.75 = 45%
45% * 0.70 = 31.5%
31.5% * 0.70 = 22.05% life reservation cost for each(not including clarity) aura.
