Orb of Stripping
Or Orb of Transference...or whatever you want to call it.
Here is the idea: An orb that takes a mod you specifically selected off of a magic or rare item. The magic or rare item in question is destroyed (quest reward?) This does not consume the orb...yet. You can then use the Orb of Stripping to apply the selected mod you have "saved" to a magic or rare item of your choice. The Orb of Stripping replaces a mod on a magic/rare item of your choice. The mod that is replaced is selected randomly. Obviously limits are required. Mods pulled off of items of one particular nature can only be applied to items of the same purpose. As is written, probably overpowered. Would need to be as rare as all hell.
Even if it was a single random property, it'd still probably be really strong. |

No, a random mod is removed, but you get to select any top tier mod to add.
This would allow for everyone to essentially be able to craft the best items in the game with ease . |

Well, its the mod, not the value on it.
Then make it only function with 4 or less properties on rares, and suddenly it doesn't look so bad. Though I agree, it is questionable. Zaanus:

There's already orbs for adding properties. Getting to choose which to add would be overpowered anyway you look at it.
For removing properties it's also overpowered to get to choose. The only way to do it would be if the orb just removed a single random property from the item (which could then be exalted to add another, if desired)... it's something I like and has been suggested before. IGN: Jerk, Princess
