what the difference between diablo 3 and path of exile
|
Its like comparing ludo to chess
I highly doubt you played POE or else you wouldn't state nonsense like that D3 are made for mindless button smashing casuals. POE is made for ARPG fans by ARPG fans who wants endless depth and character customization |

The difference is that in Diablo 3 it takes you about a week to become cynical and/or defeatist about the value of the items that drop for you, and in Path of Exile this process takes about 2 months.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

" I just don't see why people are still on the hate train for Diablo 3 so hard. I mean, you have every right to like POE more, but I don't think even fanboys of POE can tell me with a straight face that spamming Freezing Pulse or Spork Totems for hundreds of hours is somehow more "depth" than playing a Diablo 3 character. I think a lot of POE can be played by button mashing casuals too, because I see it all the time lol. Obviously, given my donation amounts and time spent here, I also prefer POE overall, but people act like Diablo III is a facebook game. Anyone who gave it a fair, or even close to a fair shake will know the game isn't for button mashing casuals either. Team Won

The main difference for me was that in D3 your stats all boiled down to a single number. If that number improved, your character improved. There was no complexity to it. Look at that big number on an item... if it's higher, use it.
PoE has various aspects to an item that could help in some areas, but you compromise in others. You have to decide what to use or what to disregard. The game doesn't do it for you. |

" Haha, Scrotie. Honestly, there's some truth to that statement though. Although, I'd argue for the standard player it is more like 1 month for Diablo and 5-6 months for POE. Team Won

"Let's account for all types of personalities and agree upon a 1:6 ratio. I really did mean it though. Things like poe.xyz.is, the overwhelming social push towards quicker easier buyout-oriented trading, and itemization which (while blowing D3's out of the water) could use some improvement for added variety... PoE has taken some of D3's poison, just a much smaller dose. I actually really love the game, enough where getting cynical about drop value didn't stop me from playing it, but it's a key issue that needs addressing. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.
