Open beta

Just to make it clear, pvp will not be balanced for a long, long time. There are just too many skill combinations and builds to work through. Closed Beta, Open Beta -- both have room for balancing issues.
Unless you'd like GGG to keep pvp locked away on alpha for the next few months trying to balance it *without* the benefit of this wonderful beta community's input? :) ___ I'd say we're looking at a December Open Beta, and maybe a mid 2013 'release', based on Chris' latest statements to game.on.net. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

Open beta is different than game release.
You can balance stuff while in beta all that you want, just release open beta in 2012... For most of us that want to play open beta balance will not turn us away from the start. The most important thing is that servers should be stable. |

Pretty sure act3 available to general public = open beta.
(general public doesn't have access to closed beta) ✠ ✠

From what i read i understand that open beta comes in a few weeks from now. Probably early december? I really want to play this game as soon as possible (in good conditions- servers stable and no lag).
Compared to cb, no character wipe will be very nice. Also, to people like me that still wait the beta key, it will be very important. |
