PvP - Block/Evasion/Resolute Technique
sounds like acrobat/blocker pvp gear consists then into +life/ES +resists and + sockets/links... no need for evasion or armor, since acrobatic removes everything, correct?

No, dodge sits on-top of evasion. Acrobatics builds focus entirely on life, evasion and/or block chance. High life + acrobatics + high evasion rating + block chance = super, super defensive.

dont think your correct.
This post is focused in some way to counter resolute techniques, so high evasion shouldnt be a stat to look for in an armor piece. Since evasion is neutralized by RT, and ES and Armor is removed with acrobatics, should we focus only on Life and resists and life regen on gear? I think Dodge comes after Evasion, and as such, will trigger even against RT.
You hit where you wanted, but he jumped out of the way. Sure, an Armor/ES character will not suffer from RT, but that's what RT does. Zaanus:
Global chat: Mechanics for A work one way, B for another, C for a third but also with A, B uses C but not A, and D uses A&B but not C ___ Isn't a "no" better than an ignore? |

" As per a dev PM earlier, Dodge is seperate from Evasion, but as it's an "evade" mechanic, RT will still hit you. It's apparently under discussion for balancing, and I've already thrown in my support for Dodge being able to avoid RT, as it's a pretty serious keystone investment for it and the only way a pure evasion can hope to compete against RT. And holy run-on sentences batman. |

Well just to clarify something, Resolute Technique CAN and most likely IS DODGED (Not Evaded). I've been dueling with my bro, his acrobatics sin vs my Resolute Technique Marauder, AND to my dissapointment I Miss almost every 3 of 4 hits.
As far as I know is Evasion/Dodge/Block in that order. Quite a tricky use of words for Resolute technique... They cannot be evaded, however they can be dodged :/ |
