Pets provide unfair advantage
Hello All,
We've all been in a situation where we desynced in an area without mobs but did not realize and continued to move forward, only to suddenly resync in a horde of them and die. Well, ever since I bought my ebony scorpion microtransaction pet, I've never been in that situation. The reason? The game treats the scorpion like a summoned minion, in that when it follows you around it has a location on the server. This means that the instant you desync, the pet stops following you and it is very noticeable. This has saved my character's life many times. Now then, while I enjoy using my scorpion as a desync detector, I believe that this is unfair and that pets should be recoded to follow you without a location on the server and thus behave as normal even during a desync instead of staying still. Holy shit. A legitimate case for pets being pay to win (assuming OP is true, I've never noticed). This thread made my night XD

Give everybody a pet-desync detector for free instead.

If this is true, then yes, you basically have to offer a free pet for everybody....
