What does Path of Exile mean to you?

For me it's my life and everything that makes me happy. It keeps me pushing on to the next day and looking forward to doing things in the game.
It's not even about finding awesome unique items, or farming currency for me, playing the game, and the game's atmosphere itself is enough for me to fall in love with it over and over again and as long as the Devs continue to be as awesome as they are, I plan to support this game and be a part of it. I personally have never had a good experience in the real world and don't really care for it much, so I'll spend the least amount of time there as possible :P Finally, to me Path of Exile is a place I can go to enjoy beautiful forests, dark dungeons, or ancient temples in stunning graphics that immerse me in the environments my character is in. My favorite place to go afk is in the Forest Encampment because of the leaves falling, the sun beams shining and the river that flows nearby. Obviously the gameplay itself is awesome with the skills, support skills and passives but I just wanted to take a minute to share with the community exactly what the game means to me and to hear other people's thoughts as to what the game means to them as well. /cheers |

For me it's nothing quite as personal. And I must say I'm sorry for you, OP. Live's flung some shit onto me, too, but I can't say I feel remotely like you do.

First of all POE is great fun to me. I use it as a time sink so to speak as I got an early retirement from work due to an injury. I get up around 7am make breakfast for my son and follow him to school at around 8am. When I get back 15 minutes later I either start browsing the forums of POE or play the game on and off till he gets home. I enjoy the game at my own pace and some days I play a lot and others not at all.
