What's a sporker?

Next best thing if you don't have a shavvrones. 3 spark totems FTW.

yes, you can essentially play a Totem Sporker or any other totem-based build without taking any damage.
it makes such builds both HC-viable, and able to just stack a ton of Magic Find and not look back.

personally, I find that kind of gameplay boring - because I like getting my character in the middle of the action slashing/bashing/zapping stuff - but some people are content in just effortlessly farming loots and selling them.

I can't think of a better build for the "economy player", than Dual Totem Spork.
I can't think of a better build for the lazy player, who wants to get on the ladder without bothering to fully understand how the game works - than Dual Totem <anything>.

Summoner requires even less gear than sporker does.

People detest the sporker build because it requires

1) no gear
2) no skill
3) is extremely OP and is the only way to get rich
4) BORING
5) is NEEDED because you can run 300 iir and 100 iiq and farm. Other characters will have much harder times reaching these numbers.

1) CI always requires gear, and spark too if you want to do any damage
2) This game is just clickclickclick, that doesnt require skill, whatever your build is
3) OP only with the right gear, i wont even comment the 2nd part due to how uninformed and stupid that is.
4) Something being fun or boring is 100% subjective.
5) Funny how most mfers I ever see cull with flame totem, and not spark.

Try to be more informed about something before talking, I could bet you never played a spark build, ever.

you sure have a right to, but personally I find it a boring "shortcut" to Path Of Exile.
almost a "win button" of sorts among character builds.

I personally feel that most of the people bitching about sporker never actually tried one.

First if you dont get a Shavronne you are extremely squishy, I play self found and the best I could afford to do was a 5 Link Soul Mantle (made myself and I was extremly lucky on the linking), I also bought 2 OK Andvarius.

My resists are almost all negative (thanks to Andvarius) and while my DPS is awesome my totems are dieing fast and me even faster.

Sporker haters must thinks we were given a shavronne for free to begin with along with 2 Andvarius and an OP (500+) ES shield, but thats not the case.

While I agree that I drop more (crap) than the average player the very best item I dropped so far is a Death Oath (goes for 1 exalted) @lvl 76 with an unbelievably high death count (over 600) and thousands of runs in the docks.

Since I dont have a shavronne I cant grind any content involving chaos damage until I respec CI which preventy me from using pain attunment boosting my damage and making my totems useful before they get owned (lvl 14 spell totem on Soul Mantle is very squishy).

I play Anarchy league and a shavronne goes for about 35 - 40 exalted for a 5L, a 6L will probably go up to 50, Andvarius are worth about 2 exalted each, a good ES shield about 1 exa and lets say 1 - 2 exa to get a good MF amulet, same goes for a decent weapon.

In total, to get this OP sporker it would cost anyone eiher a lot of patience and mindless farm in the docks (dying from Voidbearers more often that we would like to, I should be lvl 80 to 85 by now id I did not died that often) or about 50 - 60 exalts, I dont see any class that could not get OP with that amount of currency.

I also have a ground slam mara that I equipped for less than 5 exalts and that is almost invincible, he doesnt drop as much but he is sure a lot easier to play (plus he was the first of my toons to drop 2 exalted in Cruel with 0% IIQ/IIR).

We couls also mention dischargers who can get OP with crappy gear and can clean maps twice as faster than a sporker or even summoners.

It would be nice for a change to STOP bithing about other builds that you dont want to play and let others have fun where they want.
