Really though, there must be SOMETHING you can do to cut back on account spammers.

Edit: so..... they make there account then log out immediately? that does not seem like someone interested in the game, why would they do that if they are a legit person?

I wasn't going to chime into this discussion until I saw this post. I agree with you as far as bot or spam accounts are concerned but the rest of your argument has upset me.

I have accounts for lots of different games that I'm waiting for beta access to. Neverwinter, Marvel Heroes, etc that I almost never go to their site. I make an account or fill out what is required to get a key and then I go about my business waiting, patiently. I almost never go onto forums for games for various reasons, most of which is the fact that I absolutely hate typing.

So for someone like me, if I never bothered to log on once, even if I'm just checking the latest news (which does not require a logon btw) I am somehow not deserving of a beta key for waiting patiently? What if after I get my beta key I choose to remain away from the forums? I don't seem to recall any requirement for a forum account in order to play the game, and your trading argument is absolutely ridiculous. I am not required to be social with, trade with or engage in discussions with other players either in game or on the forums if I choose to.

None of this makes me any less deserving of a beta key than anyone else.

Realy need one beta key plz
