" If the last login date was a long time ago, this doesn’t necessarily mean the account is inactive. A lot of people who sign up accounts choose not to use the forums. These users still have a legitimate interest in playing the game (as they took the time to create an account), and have every right for a chance of selection by the Beta timer. Also, many users choose to read the forums without logging into their accounts, this makes them appear inactive. Logging in is only required in order to make a forum post, and many people wait until after selection to do this. | |

After the Beta timer has selected a user, we then activate the account for Beta access and send out notification via PM and email. Many people have gained access this way, the timer is not just for show :)

The timer is not fair, at LEAST make it so you have to post something to get in line for a key! i nearly never see people who are active get a key, its nearly always some spam account that people made to increase there odds.

Someone who has not logged in for a year has also been waiting for a year and can reasonably be argued to be more deserving than Johnny-come-lately reprobates like, well, me.

But the point is that they don't even check on the site. Why would ALL these people make an account and NEVER log in?

" but ALL of them? when trading comes out and if many of these people still have not logged in to trade trade after a month or to, what then? not saying the majority like to trade, but lets say 85% of these people do not log in to trade, then what? cant you limit 1 account per email? can you check peoples email accounts and see if exile1-exile10 share the same email? Really though, there must be SOMETHING you can do to cut back on account spammers. Edit: so..... they make there account then log out immediately? that does not seem like someone interested in the game, why would they do that if they are a legit person?
