Second, the reason "magic find builds are a classig part of ARPGs" is because Diablo introduced it and every other developer blindly copied it without thinking twice. Magic Find as an item stat is horrible horrible dama... design. Making MF less useful by giving deminishing returns, or introduce a (soft) cap will not make the actual design any better. Remove MF completly as item stat, balance map risk/reward ratio better and give more options -> better. Some people might be upset at first, but this is one of the occassions where a developer has to make a decision, which will not be loved by all, but is definitly in the interest of the game in the long run. They'd rather be playing. I only come on the forum during work hours. Otherwise I'd be in game. Eliminating MF completely would see around half of my friends list just up and disappear. Yeah, great idea, turn this game into D3... if they do that people r just gonna go to D3 where desinc and gameplay r way better. If u want easy mode, like account bound MF, go play diablo 3, put 200 bucks on the RMAH, and leave the hardcore games like PoE alone please. Edit: Yeah, just confirmed with the people i play, me and my friends, we r done with this game if this is happening. I vote NOOOOOO on account bound anything!. Not having that shit is one of the things I like the most about this game., and I'm far from a hardcore anything, I play in my crapish self found only gear and I enjoy every minute of it. I play almost daily and for hours(don't hate) but I'm no hardcore anything. I play for my enjoyment only. I have low mf and don't really care, any rares I loot are extra nice treat to me and that's how I like it.Now that's my 2cents on the matter only though. This is a really dumb idea, and takes away from all POE stands for, which is designing your own build and making tough decisions. That said, the numerous low life effects are too powerful / easy to abuse, I think simply nerfing those a little, or nerfing how easy it is to get them, is a much more fair answer (I agree there is a problem but not with your solution). You know what will happen if they do implement this in similar a fashion to D3, all the people who play 30 minutes per week will immediately flood the forum with whine that it takes to long for them to level it up and only nolifers will have enough mf. Do you know what happens when developers do exactly what the community asks for? Diablo 3 happens. Game is too hard!!! -> Had to implement monster power because it wasn't a challenge anymore. We don't find enough rare loot!!! -> People started picking up only item level 63 stuff because too much dropped that was guaranteed bad. Dying cost too much!!! -> Death now has no meaning what so ever. Feel free to roll your face across your keyboard and let your cat play with your mouse. Post suggestions. Not demands.
