I used Jah and Ber and made a badass Enigma in D2

I used 2 exalts and got +1 life regen and 2 Light radius in POE

traded for some pgems. Trader had too many HRs (probably a duper) and need more pgems.

Why?; Its easier to dupe 2HRs and trade them off than to dupe 200 pgems

traded for actually.

Duped then.

At least that's the way I hear D2 was...
RNG is a fickle bitch
Crafting Runewords is different than crafting in Path of Exile. PoE crafting has far more random outcomes.
The chance to Vaal +1% maximum resists on an amulet is less than 1/300.
Which Jah/Ber are we talking about?

The 1.10 rates that lasted for many, many years while D2 was played the most, and when Enigma was introduced?

Or after the game was a small fraction of its original playerbase, and after they had raised the drop rates by 16x or more (alongside stuff like full respecs)?

If you've forgotten, for reference:

The odds of finding a Jah and a Ber in 1.10 D2 was many times rarer than finding a Mirror of Kalendra is right now.

I played a lot less Diablo at that time than i did POE. (literally 1/2 hour a day because asian parents). I still managed to get enough HRs to equip my pally with grief/nigma/berberCOA etc in a month since a new ladder.

I did a small amount of flipping but that dosen't change the fact it was much easier to get those HRs than getting exalts in POE.

You could blame the dupers but I don't see how they made the game worse. They artifically increased dropped rates for everyone by flooding the economy with cheap HRs and in doing so let more people play characters with cool endgame gear

which is why GGG should increase drop rates fucking hell

Cut all IR/IQ by 60% and increase drop rate by 10%
ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it

I think I am the only guy in that game to ever make the "Wind" RW. I played that game for almost ten years, and that is one of the few high end RW's that I was actually able to make legit. It boggles the mind to think of what would have happened to that game had dupers not made Enigma as easy to get as it was.

Would have been a whole nother game. Rares would have been endgame items like they were in D2 classic.

In comparison, I love the drop rates in PoE since I actually find useful stuff earlier. No level restriction etc.
