"Most Wanted" Environment (landscapes, dungeons)
" Ya, I'd have to concur with you there. Any ancient tomb and/or buried civilization would be an eerie place to explore. Especially if that civilization suddenly sprang to life and ambushed players. There could be all kinds of traps (undead springing out from sarcophagus, a lose tile when stepped on shooting arrows from a nearby wall or the ceiling falling down onto the area, gas chambers that one wouldn't want to linger in too long, etc.) and maze-like narrow passage ways with hidden treasures for the boldest of explorers. An area such as this would give the game a lived-in feel and could even appeal to historical buffs if there's a legend being told around town about a local tomb or mausoleum. I like when lore is as much a part of the game world as hacking things to pieces. Shows there's much more depth and reasoning behind all the madness, and makes one care about their character's plight that much more. Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity. --Martin Luther King, Jr. Last edited by Madav#7573 on Aug 12, 2011, 11:23:39 PM

" If done properly with great imagination then the hell based levels could be insanely awesome. I'm thinking dante's inferno styled stuff. Certainly the PoE art team seems capable of producing some awe inspiring environments. The hellish terrain is one I really want to see their take on!
