"Most Wanted" Environment (landscapes, dungeons)

hey pathlers :D

at first i like "real" environments not freaking rainbowislands:D haha

landscape:
-a muddy misty jungle would be terrific (dont know if its already ingame i saw some pictures of a forrest)
-a vast dessert
-swamps (already ingame)
-normal landscapes
-a ruined town

dungeons:
-catacombs (only with stones in it) and a limited light radius.
-prison (already ingame)
-a pyramid in the dessert!? maybe

i dont like:
hell dungeons are damn boring.(diablo 2)

discuss it. looking forward for new ones ;)
I like the idea of a earthy mountain path area. Also it could add more tension to the game play if you get cut off or if you get surrounded with monsters. I would like seeing something like zigzagging rocky path going up a mountain path then a climactic boss fight at the summit. Plus there could be rock slides and boulders blocking off areas.
Yes good sir, I enjoy slaying mythical creatures.
~A undersea dome, complete with an abandoned city and sea monsters like mermaids.

~The cavernous insides of an enormous animal, complete with pulsating, constricting 'walls'.

~A mirrored fun house type of place, where it is difficult to tell where the enemies are coming from. Maybe in the form of a glacial or crystal cavern , complete with translucent stalagmites and stalactites.

~A floating continent (or maybe an air ship), kept aloft by the magnetic properties of Wraeclast, complete with mechanical monsters.

~A volcano with sudden infrequent bursts of steam and lava flows that can damage the unwary and maybe part of it could look like the area around the Hell's Forge in Act 4 of Diablo 2.

~A pyramid, necropolis or mausoleum made of the bones of great beasts and the adventurers that venture there. A literal land of the dead complete with arches made of bones and maybe some cavern's or halls could look like the inside of a bird's bone .

~A place like the Arcane Sanctuary in Act II, Quest IV of Diablo 2 (that was probably my favorite area in the game).
really deep dungeons.

think undermountain.

really sweet would be a dungeon that randomized and repopulated itself behind you.

and planar visits aren't a bad thing at all.

taking the occasional trip to an elemental or lower plane, or a ethereal or astral jaunt would be cool.

ship to ship combat.

<3 GGG.

I think it's important to do as diablo 2 did... they crafted a world, and the environments reflected the story and the world that you played in.

I would actually be seriously disillusioned if they added some zones that were visually appealing however disconnected from the story I was playing... cuz that's just pandering.

I think POE should create a world concept first, and then simply throw us into areas that would naturally occur in such a story.

We've only seen the first Act with 13 different locations. We know that GGG is planning at least another two or three acts that will be just as large. These are probably all scripted out already. I think there will be plenty of environment variety in the game.

I'd rather more skill gem variety than environment variety anyway.

Mines of Moria-like environment!
Were not saying to add all of these. I think the thread is more of like an idea thread the devs see something cool they could tweak and implement mission accomplished.

I like all kind of landscape to play on.

We cant only play dungeons and dark tunnels that is boring after while. We need variations.

landscape i think would be great to have in pathofExile is

Marsh
Forest
Mountain Chain
Tempel
catacombs
Labyrinth
glacier
Lake
Jungle
wood
desert
Heaven
harbour
ruin
cave
seashore
Winter landscape
small village

Poe veteran! Have been here sense November 2010.

Yeah, me too! The amount of variations is more important...
