Anarchy economy chaos flux

Just me or is the economy on exalt to chaos nuts? I had seen a lot of spammers selling exalt at lower (<50) then boom, it caught and now it goes from 44 to as low as 36 and everything in between. Just an odd jump over nothing.

This is how I view it: people need lower currency to buy other things since an exalt is a large currency. However, they can't find these people to exchange these currencies with them, so they become desperate and try to lower the ratio. In return, they would probably find someone to trade it with. Voila!!!!!!!!!! or a simple step - chaos inflation.

Edit - I also blame GGG for this event by making "noise" into the economy, because of the 20% Quality Gem recipe which made no one want any GCP's anymore.

Glad I got 50 chaos for an ex while I had the chance.

Chaos simply need to be used far, far more often than exalts, especially as more and more people get to the point where they are doing mid 70s maps. Im surprised it dropped this much, but it has been dropping SLOWLY for ages and ages so its just an acceleration of the norm really.

Exalt is 30 chaos in Onslaught at least since I started playing the league (mid June). What the fuck is wrong with anarchy ?

It's because of the standard merge and the the too huge rate of chaos to ex on Ana, better get a lot of chaos now..

I thought it was because eternal orbs shot a hole through the exalt market.

Anarchy is ending. Exalt price on SC is about 35. Which means if you sell your ex for anything above that margin you make a profit when the leagues are merged. The End.

Its just market manipulation that pushes them that high, they dropped back down to 30 chaos each in softcore and the people who sold at 50 then bought back at 30 made a killing no doubt. Players just need to be aware of that trend and refuse to buy exalts when they start going to 40+, but the temptation to sell that high creeps in and it snowballs, people get greedy and the whole league falls into the trap and allows people who just flip currency to make massive profits at the expense of the larger economy.


While exalts were rising to 50 in softcore all the anarchy people were laughing, but by the sounds of things it was probably the same people who pushed it to 50 in sc and then cashed in when it dropped back to 30 moving over to anarchy to do exactly the same thing. They probably run loss leaders, buy as many exalts as possible at 30, start very publicly offering 40 chaos for exalts, make as few legit sales as possible, start publicly offering 45, then 50 and once everyone seems to have adopted the 50 ratio, sell the mass of exalts they bought for 30 each at the new 50 price. Then when it drops back down to 30 they buy them all back again.

The exchange rates are wide open to manipulation because people watch trade chat, see people offering 50 chaos for an exalt and presume that sale must be going down, oh shit heres another dude now offering 50, can I get 50 chaos for my exalts? Do I now have to pay 50 chaos for my exalts? How am I going to buy an exalt for 30 chaos when matey here, oh and this guy too, fuck and this guy in a pub party all buying for 50, if all these people are offering 50 no ones going to sell me one for 30 surely, so 50 it is, fuck. Not many sales have to take place for people to make a lot of noise and make it seem like exalts are going for 50 chaos each left right and centre, once the community bites that text becomes reality.
