Raids / Dungeons for endgame

If PoE turns into a raid/dungeon end game I'll drop it where it sits and never look back. I've quit so many MMOs over the last 10 years because of this very reason. I want to play, if I want to group I will... I do not want to be forced to group to get geared or to enjoy 'end game'.

Guild Wars 2 at present carries this very well and I know that PoE is not GW2. It is an action RPG and in a league of its own, imo. But, like GW2 the game does not (at present) force you to grind out annoying bosses an insane number of times, usually with a group of elitist pigs just to get a 1/16, 1/24 or 1/48 shot at a piece of gear, assuming your 'class' can use it.

It's not just WoW on my end. lol... I quit Rift, SWTOR, LoTRO and more because of it. LoTRO was not like that at one point, then it changed coats and I left it sitting. :P

I wouldn't mind seeing -some- group content added, so long as it is not required to obtain top level gear. Some people love to group, for some they feel required to do so no matter what the game is to have fun. I'm just not one of those people.

Ok then, how about solo raid bosses -.-?... Take the idea of a hard 30min raid boss and turn it into soloable hard and rewarding boss.

And also maybe add boss ladders so we can see which class and how fast have they killed it...

I'm gravedigging this thread because it's a great suggestion.

It is not a great suggestion. No one wants 20-30 minute fights in an ARPG, especially on hardcore where manyyyy people play including myself. That's just not how these games work.

Just look at Marvel Heroes. I've seen so many people complain about how long bosses take to kill, and no one seems too pleased with it. It may seem like a cool idea, but this just isn't that type of game.

Please go play WoW or something similar if you'd like that. I did that for years and I'm not interested in the least.

You should expect less because it is still in beta, not because it is free to play. Still in closed beta in fact. Do not mistake it for a finished game!

The devs have shown great skill in building a fine game, and have shown no sign of slowing down. Let's wait and see what they come up with next; I have yet to be disappointed.

Oh, and if you want it harder, try hardcore.

hardcore isnt hard :P played on the first 1 week hc race and got to 71, quit PoE after that till the game goes to open beta.

I got 10th in that race at lv 75 ^_^

OP here, for some reason someone necroed my very old thread <,< but i still want it

Terrible. 6 player late game map parties are "raid" enough. I'd rather have interesting events that can be grouped or soloed.

This would be like throwing pickles on a sloppy dripping double triple cheeseburger which already has too many toppings. Ggg should put all their efforts into refining the current game , not stretching it thin by trying to make it all games for all people. I'd gladly take a new unique item and build enabling skill gem over some shitty raidboss

No one wants it, so me and OP and lots of other people that have yet to comment in this thread are no ones. You need to realize not everyone wants the same as you and you should give people the opportunity to explain themselves.
