PoE Vs Diablo 3 new expansion

PoE aimed toward harcore players but PoE is a game for no lifers. I am a pretty hardcore player, I think. If I would be motivated a would play for several hours a day when possible (have to work, have to do sports, have a GF etc.).

-Races? Forget it, not enough time to seriously compete with the no lifers
-Wealth? Forget it, I only play melee and to progress I have to spend all the currency I find to buy new gear. And I do not find much currency. Also I cannot invest in magic find, melee is already weak and investing in IIR/IIQ would make me even more weak
-Choice? Not really, as a melee you need all the life you can get and a lot more or you will be one shotted. All Marauders for example play the same way
-Loot? A joke, way too random. Sell everything to buy stuff via trading. Only interesting if you can effort to invest A LOT in IIR/IIQ
-Crafting? A joke, way too random. Spend orb buying stuff instead of crafting
-Play2win? Not really, it is actually pay2win but without support for real money (see above)
-Gameplay? Framedrops and desync destroy gameplay

My main is a life melee cleave duelist. I personally do not believe life is a broken as everyone suggests. Is ES better? Possibly, but that does not mean life is horrible. In D2 and many other games you wanted to put as much as possible into life. Another thing to keep in mind is that the endgame is still being worked with more uniques, balance changes, and added content on the way. The game will change a lot in just one year from now.

Also, your comment about there not being build diverseness is FALSE on so many levels I am not even going to get into it. If we were talking about D3 then yes. THAT game has no build diversity what so ever. In fact Blizzard encourages players to find new builds so that they can have something to nerf.

Desync? Sure it is a big issue but will be worked on more and more I imagine. I also find it frustrating that about 99% of my deaths are because of it. Makes it hard to level up while playing casually. The way it has to be looked at is that Desync is not a desired ingame feature that the devs have come up with but rather a limitation of modern day technology.

Framedrops is on you though. If your machine cannot run a game I fail to see how that makes the game bad. Mind posting your computer specs???

I could not care less if their new character looks like a paladin. It can look as cool as you want but ultimately game play is where it matters. We will have to see. The new Act does look cool and hopefully it will be good. Currently the best Act in the game is Act 1 and the other 3 are horrible for the most part. In fact I would not even count the 4th Act as a real act because it is so short.

I would also be skeptical about anything Blizzard calls "good loot" now a days. Last time I trusted them and it did not turn out so well...

If you prefer D3 by all means go have fun but do not come here telling us to go back to D3. I will never play that crap again. I also heard that the console version is going to be better to boot. I dunno I have to confess that I like having devs that post frequent updates and keep in touch with the community.

In all honesty though, it seems to me that this game is not for you. This is not the type of game where you get instant gratification. No. POE is a game about finding cool loot and discovering new builds that no one has come up with. It is about customizing details on your character via things such as flasks and passive tree nodes. It is about competition. It is about solo farming. Amassing an insane amount of wealth, buying the most expensive gear you can afford, and showing it off. But more than anything...it is about having fun.

When the D3 expansion comes out all the hype will go away once people realize Blizzard does not care.

How can someone still buy/play Blizzard products? I mean they are like the worst customer friendly company out there.

Diablo 1&2: amazing
WoW: amazing
Starcraft: amazing

past 2010:

Diablo 3: shit, still waiting for pvp arena maybe in 2 years, casual skill system
WoW: casual as fuck, shit, 2014 they probably introduce instant 90 Server cuz they love casual noobs
Starcraft2: solid game but still retarded cuz of the expansion packs

Diablo 3 exp story will be even more cringe worthy that D3 was. Trust me, Angel of Death, that's an unlimited cheese fest supply for D3 writing team.

Watched all gameplay vids and I have to tell you the game will be as bad as D3 was. Still no pvp, loot 2.0 looks underwhelming (how will any of the build enabling uniques change how you play your build), it's still going be main stat+vit dump. No change to runes and passive skills, meaning you basically have 5-6 builds in game. Itemization will remain horrible from what I've seen and the gameplay looks pretty much the same (fun but after a while incredibly boring).

@Everybody pretending that D3 is all that different: It is not, in both games you better buy all your items. In both games there is no build diversity, the only diversity is the skill you use.
D3's gameplay is just way better.

And also, I am not some guy who just installed PoE, I have been buying myself into closed beta.
