Giving away Onslaught/HC items since i'd no longer play!

Hardcore - Lioneye's Glare

I started PoE back in spring and I was on the Standard League. I needed to upgade my lvl 20 blue maul so I asked global/trade chat if anyone had a crappy rare maul for me and someone ended up giving me a Geofri's Baptism. Felt really nice using it and it was the only item someone gave me for free. Everytime one of my HC characters die, I usually give away my items since I dont play on Standard anymore. Then I just start all over again on HC.

Would really like a Lioneye's since my current build is a point blank Chin Sol bowrauder.

6L #1 - onslaught

My best moment in POE was the Merciless Vaal fight on my self-found melee hc char. I always wanted to finish normal content (no maps) with a melee duelist back then when no one would play them because they were "underpowered".

Normal difficulty was kinda easy, but that's what was expected from that one. On cruel i had a little bit more trouble because of the increased monster damage and the weakened resistances, but merciless was like i was in a raid dungeon for a 6 player party alone and undergeared. Every fight was a challenge, especially with rare and boss monsters. I always stayed far back to read all the affixes of the rares before engaging a fight and as a matter of fact i skipped a lot of them.

Reaching Vaal was a challenge in itself. I remember pulling every skeleton out of the room they were in one by one, so that i would not be hit by many monsters at once. Needless to say i evaded the projectiles of the ranged ones and skipped them. If i stood still to attack and the projectiles hit me i would die in a second.

I reached vaal with a 4l chest as a damage source with the skill gems Heavy strike/ Cleave / Faster attackes / Melee phys damage as my only damage source, my resists were a little bit above 50 and my light res was 40 something. My life pool was 4.2k life and the auras that i used were hatred and grace.

I knew that a single mistake would cause my death. Either being hit by his balls or getting shotgunned by the lightning attack and/ or get hit by rocks would be fatal. The fight lasted for about 45 minutes. It was so scary that i i oculd hear my heart pumping and i could feel my adrenaline rising each time Vaal lifted his ball to attack me. Summoning adds was one of the most dangerous attacks he could throw at me, because of the low dps, i could not dispatch them quickly enough. I was always in danger of being overwhelmed by adds.

when he was near 1/5 of his life i realized that i had to be carefull with my pots cause i was running out of tp scrolls and if this attempt failed i would be stuck. After using my last tp scroll he was at 1/10 of his hp. That was when everything started to go wrong. I managed to evade all his ball-attacks and lazers up until now, but i was getting tired. Some of the lazers hit me and near the end he used the summoning spell more that 3 times in a row in between attacks. I found myself having to dodge lazers rocks and projectiles from his constucts. Being so close to death (both me and Vaal) i decided for a showdown. I run around until all my hp was full from the passive regen (i was out of pots/tp scrolls), waited until he used the rock attack and stood still while attacking him. I was really lucky. One of my attacks was a crit. If it wasn't, i would have died. The constructs hurling purple pancakes of death were hurting too much. I managed to emerge victorious with 100 hp left. That was one more projectile attack for me to die a horrible death.

After spawning in the city of Sarn i just took the wp and went back to the forest encampent in act 2. I had to take a break to calm down. For the rest of the day i wore a smile on my face.

Eventually i managed to progress through act3 and kill Piety as well, clearing normal content as self-found , but i had managed to obtain some better gear in the way and everything was easier than the Vaal fight. Ironically i died the first time i joined a map party from undead roa chargers with increased damage mod.

6L #1(Onslaught)

My best moment in POE is actually every second that I play this game ( let me explain ).

Before starting playing onslaught I was playing standard and anarchy. I quickly got bored of those because it was too easy and not punishing death made me play sloppy and careless, also after a while I stopped having fun.

Ever since I've rolled in onslaught I am having a blast!! Although it wasnt easy to begin with. I had zero friends zero currency and zero help. I rolled summoner Witch and those first 1 - 60 levels I wanted just to quit so badly. My summons were weak, dead all the time. My attack ( freezing pulse ) was weak and I wasnt in any way having fun.

This changed when I finally managed to reach merci ledge and started lvling my zombies and getting them multistrike. Now I am lvl 79, have NEVER died and I can easily farm any map up to 69-70 lvl, although not any higher because my zombies die too fast :(

Now coming to my first point. As a guy I always had moderate to mild anxiety all the time, I am a Computer Science Major btw, those moments when I play PoE are really my stress relievers and they really pump me up so yeah, every moment is my best :P

My best moment in the game was when I went to help some people kill Kraityn and some wannabe tough guy decided to try and kill everyone in the group but I ended up killing HIM since my gear was way better than his. Regular grouping friends were made after I killed that guy.

Gems! Onslaught ( i dont know if u plan to give them all as a bunch but if not only lighting strike would be great)

Well Path of Exile has given me many happy moments so i am picking one , my first day in PoE
My first day in this game was a total blast , i had heard of this game from the forums of a shitty game i was playing back there , the game seemed to be the one of my dreams.Back then i was really against P2W models but the bad thing is i was getting used to them since everyone was following that model , some of my favourite games got transformed in nests for rich casuals who need to waste their money to feel good , i hated it but i still got kinda used to it . When i saw the game was F2P and not P2W my hopes got up again .I got the beta key asap.

The game when i first started was like a new world i had to explore , it kept amazing me every second , i still remember my reaction to the skill tree , god knows how much i got happy when i got that first unique from hillock :D as i new they were the rarest items in the game. How suprised i was when i got that gem and equipped it , the concept seemed amazing `everything is an item` and i really loved it . My heart started bumping when i first tasted a brutus slam , my first fight with him was epic and i remember i even waked up my room mate yelling from joy . I felt good , really good after a long time . That day i decided i was going to play PoE for a long long time and i still feel the same :D

Low maps (Onslaught)

In Hardcore league we fight-team Vaal for the first time in Merciless mode, we were : Shadow Ek (me), Ranger Roa, Minion witch, freezing pulse templar, sweep marodeur.
We engage the fight and vaal hit 40% life....then.. he choose to teleport and desync on us. Everybody die on the hit but me :). I shout on my mic and stay in to try finish killing it.

STRANGE REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE THANKS TO POE

So I moved to a new town becasue of work. All my friends were interstate and i didn't really know anyone. My work mates are 90% women and there are only 2 other blokes at my work place. They both have families ect so it was hard to relate to them.

I was playing POE as i did most nights because i didn't really know anyone where i live. It was some xp run on ledge and an exalted dropped for me, but before i could pick it up some other jerk snagged it. The rest of the party trolled me ect and I was pretty pissed. I sent him a pm basically asking if i could have it and he wrote back saying "sure mate, i only picked it up because those randoms would have stolen it anyway. meet me in town". I portaled to town and he followed and then proceeded to trade me my exalted back. He didnt have to he was just being nice.

I was very grateful and appreciative and we partied up occasionally when we saw each otehr online.

Over the next few months we had random chats ectI talked about how I don't know anyone ect and he was saying "how thanks to indoor soccer it helped him meet heaps of people in Geelong"

This was pretty amazing because that happened to be the same town i am living in. So after some more chat he said come down for a kick at the local indoor club, i was nervous ect and didnt want to be some creppy team mate some guy met on the internet. but i went anyway. started playing soccer and now i actually have a bunch of mates i can hang out with and just chill. all thanks to POE.

This game may be the best game I ever played but it also helped my in my life making real life friends at a time when i was feeling stressed and pretty shit about some thigns in my life. Thanks POE.

and to the OP. even if you don't choose this story grats on being kind and giving back to this community.

peace

Lioneye's Glare - Hardcore

I would have to say my best moment in PoE was built up over time and started out with a slap in the face.

After starting up in Hardcore off the bat, I had eventually made a block/infernal blow tank Marauder and got to Merciless Act 2, the furthest I had gotten in the game so far(first LA ranger desync'd going to 2nd floor of Ancient Pyramid Merciless and ended up with a screen of me dead next to 1 skeleton and the second was a LS Templar that died desyncing on the side Tidal Island quest and died to two of those homeless looking mobs.)

So I was running 5 Auras and Tempest Shield and had just gotten my Aegis Aurora and farmed my way up to level 68. I decided I was ready to move onto Act 3, playing solo mostly, and breezed through the entire Act 2 questline and up the Pyramid. With no desync, I felt like I had luck on my side finally. I started the Vaal fight, going in and out during casts to DPS, when out of nowhere he came up nearby so I popped both quicksilver and granite flasks to run before he does anything but he decides to just Vaal Slam me without the animation and I RIP'd, along with my entire fortune in his gear. Sitting there and staring at the screen for a couple of minutes, I told my friend I feel like I was done with this game considering I had pretty much no currency left to reload. But I decided to give it another try, with another ranged build but not a ranger.

Which leads me to the Bowrauder I'm now playing/leveling and am proud to say that finally beating Vaal on Merciless gave me quite the satisfaction, even though it was as simple as using a Decoy Totem with Rain of Arrows.

My DPS isn't the greatest while farming Docks and the occasional dropped Lv66 map, I'll have to admit so the Lioneye's would most definitely make a difference.

Cheers,

@Tangdang
