Giving away Onslaught/HC items since i'd no longer play!
Trying to 6s a lioneyes and about 2 exalt in....was so damn pissed and even passed up one cause I was spamming the roll too fast. Soo, went to trade chat to buy some more, and some random dude out of the blue asked me for some help with a waypoint. Fuck it, I might as well since I am sick of lookin at this stupid bow. So I port him to lunaris normal, easy enough right? Well, I'm chillin at the port while I consider spending another exalt on some Jews and the kid up and dies already. He ports back in and I told him I'd help him with piety. I am way over leveled, like 77 or so and we smash through to piety and what should I see drop from ms. Piety.... A fucking exalt! Snag, buy Jews 6s my bow and help a noob! Karma bitches.
So that's just one of my karma stories, sure glad that guy came by when he did! "Truth be told, I have no idea what the fuck is going on anymore." Stephen Hawkins

6L onslaught #1
So... here goes nothing. The story goes like this. With a lot of time on my hands and friends that don't. I decided to make an item finder. With all the time I put into it there was only one really good item I have found. A high level soul mantle. It took 40 jewelers to get is 6S. Then I threw about 20-30 fusings at it hoping to get a 5 link(Knowing a 6L would be almost impossible.)Well I got nothing out of it put it in a stash tap a rarely go to and focused on my item finder for a month or two. At this point I had a couple of hundred fusings sitting around ready to be trade and thought you know what ill try and 5l my soul mantle again. I put one into it and BAM got the 6L. I was in a skpye call with a friend and went ape shit. It was single handily my most exciting moment in a game for me hands down. (even got a little bit of an adrenalin rush haha.) "Hardcore #1 Lioneye's"
My best moment in PoE was back in the days when I still was a noob in HC after joining from SC. I rerolled a LA ranger from Witch IceSpear dual totem build. I farmed around 3 weeks lvl 66-68 maps with my LA ranger and didn't get a single drop worth more than 5xChaos. I was almost giving up on this game and was thinking to maybe go back playing League of Legends. Next morning I wake up, did the original morning rutin, coffee - news - forums - etc. Rolled a sucky blue DUNES map, went in and there was a rare mob near to the portal, killed it and BOOOM Kaoms Heart dropped. Because of that I've made two lvl 93 chars, unfortunately my first char died. IGN DeizeNUTS IGN = DeizeCoC, DeizeCi, DeizeNUTS Last edited by Deize#0276 on Aug 19, 2013, 6:47:34 AM

So I made proper sacrifices to Chris, not telling what, and in 5 days 3 exalts and a lot of good rares dropped. Guess what else? I ripped the next day. And what else? Ripped level 4 shadow with all my wisdom scrolls.
Don't ask me to share the proper rituals, that would inflate the market and destroy prices EDIT: Actually, I probably don't need that, since I don't play enough to make use of it. So the Onslaught level 18 weapon elemental damage. Uniques (Onslaught)
So that Perpetus cat pretty much owns me. When I first started playing (not that I'm some expert now), I was only playing Onslaught. So I die once early. But my second toon makes it all the way to Sarn City. And Perpetus just comes out of nowhere and dominates me in seriously under five seconds. So I'm all screw this guy and make my third character and fight all the way up to Perpetus again. He kills me even faster this time. I have no idea what's happening. I make a fourth and farm the poo out of Act 1. I've bought armor and weapons. I'm like level 35. I kill Vaal by breathing on him the wrong way. In Sarn City, Perpetus finds me, bends me over a barrel, makes me say his name then proceeds to describe in detail what he did to my mother the previous night. My fifth toon. I buff up. I'm figuring out the exact gems and skills I need only to beat him. I nearly die several times along the way because I am a Perpetus killing specialist. I finally get all the way to him and just start wailing on him like a drunk monkey. He has no idea what's happening. I curbstomp him so hard, Piety feels it. When I kill him I stand up and yell a primal scream of hate and conquest. Then a couple of skeletons I didn't see kill me with arrows. Quote: "My gear I've used" (what would really change my life is a Death's Rush, but its up to you how generous you are feeling on the day)
Best Moment: The first time I used Glacial Hammer. I had made 3 or 4 Shadows before hand and always used Daggers. This time around I made a Duelist because my Shadows died very easily. I had Glacial hammer on a junk looking club, but when I started swinging it and seeing the Ice form on the end, it was glorious. I knew what had to be done, I told the Wife to take the kids and stay with her Mother. I logged off, made a Templar and played non stop for 2 weeks. I got further than I had ever gotten with a PoE character, into the 60's. I even found a map and attempted to do it, I failed misserably, but it was still the greatest thing I had ever done. He is now my main with Melee Splash Glacial Hammer... the most fun I've had in an ARPG sine Zeal on my Paladin in D2. Every character I have made since then has been Cold Damge based, because of how beautiful it is to see things Freeze and Shatter. It bring a tear to my eye. IGN: FrostyPants Sorry you are leaving man. You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there’s still going to be somebody who hates peaches. Onslaught - Victario's Acuity (or other specific uniques)
STORY: Races in path of Exile have a special place for me. One of my fondest memories was during a party race in season 3. I love party play. If you have a truly great team, you get an oiled machine which is impossible to stop. I created a witch planning to go firestorm. As soon as I logged in, I set up a public party to draw people in. The team was going to consist out of 2 witches, a marauder, duelist, templar and ranger. Before the actual race started, we were already debating what our tactics were going to be during this 90 minute race. Killing Hailrake or not. You know the drill. The most important decisions were resolved democratically. The race starts. The sign for me to put my washed up comrade and his undead attacker out of their misery. Quickly equip my fireball gem as I rush to Hillock. The ensuing fight is typically a slow one. Witches tend to have a slow start and only near the end they start to shine. I got lucky. The giant fellow drops a transmutation orb. The orb is quickly traded in for the best coral amulet Nessa has in stock. The initially scattered group meets eachother at the beach. The parts of the machine finally get together. Like cyclists in a team trial against the clock we get to the prison of the Warden. It is there that the machine comes to an end and dreams are instantly "chattered" to pieces. His name: Chatters. Initially locked up in his cage, he was an easy pray for us distance fighters. But the pride of the marauder was too great. So he opened up pandora's box. Chatters and his legion of skeletons swarmed us. Two yellow rare mobs joined the fight. Our party was desecrated. Only half of us made it out alive. The machine was permanently broken. Like a splintered team in cycling we were quickly losing ground and valuable time compared to our race competitors. It was in the cave of wrath (or anger) I threw in the towl as my remaining two companions joined other teams. As teamleader I disbanded the team and took my time to look up other public parties. I found a relatively small team of 3 people struggling with one of Merveil's daughters. I launched my fireballs towards Miss Tentacles. Laying her in ashes. I quickly joined up and asked what their goals were in this particular race. It seemed they were quite new to this. They wanted to obtain enough race points for "Sin Trek Boots". So I said to them. Fine, I'll help you out guys. Making sure everyone stays alive. And not rushing too crazy ahead. Merveil's miserable voice was soon silenced. At the start of act 2 I convinced the Templar to go full ice nova. While he froze packs of enemies to glacial statues, the archers and I broke them to pieces with a rain of arrows and fireballs. This tactic got us all the way to the Chamber of Sins. The desired levels were reached before the end of the race. Everyone was really happy. 6L #1 - (Onslaught)
My best moment in PoE was a little while after open beta started. In closed beta I used to play default, I had a lot of fun but I decided to play hardcore when the game went to open beta, it just seemed right. For whatever reason, I always wanted a hardcore character that would be a melee Witch, and as if that wasn't bad enough I wanted it to be a dual wielding dagger witch :) Since I mostly solo, it's needless to say leveling was pretty hard. Numerous times I just had to bail out of instances and make new ones, chugging flasks left and right, avoiding dangerous packs and bosses to the best of my ability. One time, I was trying to fight Black Death in Chamber of Sins, oh man that spider hit me hard... I had to portal out quite a bit, every portal out was closer to my death. I equipped all health flasks and I went at him again, finally managing to kill him. It truly felt like victory, it wasn't just about killing him... It was killing him with my own build and character that I wanted to make and sticking through a really tough fight, having been so close to dying multiple times. And to top it all off, it dropped this valuable item that I've always dreamed about having:
Spoiler
I'll always keep it in my stash. A reminder that in Path of Exile (and in real life) even if something seems really hard as long as you're committed and you put your heart into it, you can make it. //vor | |
Hardcore - Mind Twine (Leather Belt)
My best moment in PoE was before playing PoE. I was playing D3 and I was really bored with it. I saw Kripp's youtube videos about PoE and I registered for closed beta. Since that day I am playing PoE and everyday I find a new thing to love this game. ign: Enkel IGN: Enkel
