Prisoner's Gate Waypoint location
Can you imagine having to wade through hordes of killer monkeys before getting to the WP after killing Merveil? =@[.]@=

The waypoint was unlinked to the prisoners gate entrance, but it is still very close by, just up the road. I know it's very tense at that moment, but I'm sure it's not far enough away to be a problem.
As for that waypoint after Merviel.... ![]() Level Designer/Dungeoneer

Spoon fed generation expostulate when their toys got taken away and put another side, meh.
It is indeed hilarious how people could make "problems" with very minor changes as this one, especially when things got changed in the way how it must be ! "This is too good for you, very powerful ! You want - You take"

" You sir, are very rude. I got a wife and a child, and I get to play this game in small chunks as someone always needs something from me. So getting from waypoint in prison to Brutus and then exiting to get that waypoint right away was a life saver. Now it takes more time and I have to deal with possible crash as well. So keep your stupid opinions and conclusions to yourself. Last edited by Torin#1843 on Sep 17, 2012, 4:42:10 AM

" No one is complaining that this is a game breaking change, just a matter of convenience (and a small reward for reaching a major game breakpoint), that was taken away. We are simply relaying our feedback of this change to GGG, as we should do in a beta. I myself found that having the predictably placed waypoint right after a long haul through the prison and a boss fight to be a great relief. Like a good book, tension should build until the climax, and then go down after that. The boss, Brutus, should be that climax, after beating him the player should be able to relax, and decompress. Instead, finding the waypoint is now that climax, it's a "I beat the boss, now I have to hurry to the waypoint to make sure my progress is saved", and only after searching, frantically, for the next waypoint can the player finally relax. " Don't you dare!!!! =P Last edited by Aplier#7659 on Sep 17, 2012, 5:12:30 AM

" I have to say, this is perhaps the best I have seen this particular issue explained, in terms of pacing. That is one area in which PoE could use some refinement. I have a char about to do the Pyramid, and it sure would be nice to have a WP about halfway through all that mess. After all, we get a WP in the Prison, and that's not nearly so involved a grind. ='[.]'= =^[.]^= basic (happy/amused) cheetahmoticon: Whiskers/eye/tear-streak/nose/tear-streak/eye/
