What is the best class for Facebreaker build?

I have always wanted to try a Facebreaker build so I can punch the shit out of monsters, but what would be the best class to choose?
Remember when I won a screenshot contest and made everyone butt-hurt? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Class only changes your quest rewards and where you start in the tree in this game.

I would probably go for marauder.

I know that, LOL.

But seriously though, should I focus on Block% with a shield or Evasion%? This would play a big role in which class to choose.

Get shield block chance, it's more reliable. Marauder and Duelist are the best for it, but I'd go Marauder.
Mara/duelist tend to have the best start.

That being said, if going EV the start for ranger is pretty damn good, and my EV FB Ranger kicks ass.

That being said, it is almost a rush to getting RT, combined with grabbing life on the way. There is a VERY difficult period of time about level 30->50 where you are balancing moving towards Rt and getting those health nodes. If you screw up, your miss chance is so low it really hurts, or else you don't have sufficient life and are super squishy.

But once you hit about level 60ish, the build really shines. And ondars guile is a melee's best friend, especially against chaos snakes act 3 slums

How did you start as Ranger? The one-handed weapon nodes don't benefit Facebreaker. Did you escape the Ranger tree very early and start working your way towards RT?

I'd use the link in my EV ranger build, but its out of date and haven't updated it.

Essentially the melee physical dmg nodes do benefit FB, so you grab them, or the ev. I grabbed both as I respecced later.

But its pretty simple, you rush around the outside of the tree to RT, with stops at the 18% health node, the 1.5% regen under duelist, depending on preference I also went through the leather and steel nodes and grabbed the +2 melee range node, then up past blood magic, and up the side closet to mara tree, grabbing the Rt finally around level 40-50

Main points were Ondars Guile, 18% Health node (can't remember name, divine toughness?), golem/troll blood (can't remember which name), leather and steel, +2 melee weapons, BM (I was using Bm gem so I skipped this), RT.

And filling in the 'required' things in the meantime, additional HP nodes, the resistances nodes if needed, the aspd beserker node is nice, and then after that its expanding to the templar health pool, the acrobatics cluster, and cause I use blood rage also grabbing the frenzy charges (use the % regen boots so I get huge hp regen)

Oh okay, I see how you specced the beginning now. I thought you planned to get shield nodes and go past Finesse to get them, but those nodes would be useless for Facebreaker. Do you think you'll ever receive big enough hits to kill you? I started as Marauder and went down to IR, as I still opt for armour rather than evasion.

TBH my build is rather weak atm cause my +phys gear doesn't have requisite life. I can't get 1shot, but I can't take kole as he 2shots me too quickly for my life leech. Admittedly if I ran LGoH I might be able to tank him.

Also to note I run teh BM gem and have purity+haste+Hatred on my mana, so the purity really boosts my resistances which are severly low due to unique requirements.

And I don't have the requisite helm at this point, so I am only hitting 12k dps with my IB.

I don't use a shield, I use an almost perfect rolled heavy physical quiver, with the highest physical roll, and (what was) a near max life roll (I think rolls are higher now), but it is lacking some resistance sadly.

Ah gotcha. Yeah resistances are hard to cap with Facebreaker/Bringer (I don't know if you use Bringer). I use Purity, Determination, Hatred, and Grace (on life). Here's my gear and I'm able to cap resists at 80% (but not completely overcapped yet, and my Purity doesn't give +4% maximum resist yet).

I invested quite a bit on resists, but I'm up to about 14-15k DPS with Infernal Blow at level 75. I also run 6 Endurance charges at the moment, but I'm right next to the 7th one on the passive skill tree (I don't need it yet though).

How much health do you have? I'm feeling a bit on the low end, around 3.7k at the moment I believe. I'm hoping to get it up to 4.5k without having to ditch some good physical damage from my gear.
