Hi all,
I actually streamed when my internet was capable and it was for only 2 reasons: 1) To help GGG and spread the word BUT 2) Most importantly to HELP peeps who needed it, providing a place where all are equal, heard and have a place to go to chill. For the most part ALL streamers do it for this with the select few purely doing it for $$$ and believe me, the ones that do it for $$$'s don't last.....ever. GG GGG Existence is infinite, a weave of live and dead, beyond the understanding of the many mortal threads.
Embrace death to honour the lost, no fear in life no matter the cost. With one of all we are and all of one we trust, throughout past, present and future...... be just. |

Inb4 stream hipsters... oh wait... Seriously, the internet needs less self-righteous hipsters. Go outside and do other things if you are so bothered by people recording their experiences and sharing it with others. I swear if life was a giant mental hospital the internet would be the sociopath ward.

Some guys are only good at playing games so they need to stream to earn some €€€.
I think there are way more important things in this game then this streaming feature at this moment. They could implement it later on. Not to mention it wasnt best implementation and people are still having problems with it (probably rushed too hard to release it but thats not good way how to develop software). Streaming may be fun but why would I be watching stream if I can play myself ??? IGN : Mettiu

" If this is your way of thinking fine But my way of thinking is more ''wanna be better at the game? Play it an learn. Dont spend half you playing time asking everybody for ''what is'' and ''How to''. Autodidacticism is the word of the day. This will also help you in real life. help you to not become a Knowledge Slave.'' ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it

I don't know, this thread just screams pretentious hipster to me. Comparing steaming to the toxicity of children that engage in hyper competitive banter is pretty bad. It feels more like hyperbole than anything. Not to mention how clever the op thought he/she was with the name "Sexcalibure." Really? You want to complain about how people are attention seeking and immature but name yourself sexcalibure? I guess I'd be more receptive if there was more logic to the complaint, but the logic is as arbitrary as being envious at best.
I truthfully don't understand the allure to watching streams, but if someone enjoys sharing experiences with people around the world how does that directly impact me? It doesn't. I for one like recording my experiences on the possibility that I may encounter an interesting experience I would want to share. In my small group of friends I have become notorious for finding glitches and being really hard on games in the technical department. To some I am viewed as a critic but for those that have seen me in action they can testify that my criticisms are valid. I recently launched a streaming project and it's for this very reason. I don't think streaming is ruining PoE as it was suggested in this thread, but I do think poor attitudes and immaturity can definitely cause the ruination of a game. I point in reference to Dark Souls. Demon's souls had a interesting community with a variety of players backing it, but when Dark Souls gained widespread appeal it became a very toxic environment. It was because gamers notoriously have piss poor attitudes and always feel like they are in a "proving ground" situation. Many gamers exhibit symptoms of narcissism. This is how communities and games are ruined, not by sharing experiences. |

" Posting on an online forum is about as geeky if not more than watching a stream. |

I stream for 10-15 mins to show off a build I have been working on and that it works. And to help any player that has a question at that time.

Twitch streamers are the reason this game is popular and isn't dead already.
