Twitch Streaming is the New COD Mic Kids

Since GGG implemented this crap all we see on the forums are people making Threads ''Watch my stream!!!''

"
I know that GGG uses this as advertisement to get more people to know the game but damn...
they could have wait because for now people see these Attention Whores stream:
a) Dont want to play a game full of these Douchebags
b) Might give a shot
and come and try the game and face a beta game which has a HUGE problem with desync.
a) Fuck this broken game
b) Might give a try later when its fixed
c) Im a range/caster i can live with it

But in the end
i dont think its as profitable as GGG thinks it is... you want professional to advertise your game. No show off, douchebag or/and attention whores. People that play on pc like PC because its a Realm where 12 years old have very limited powers, dont ruins it.
ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it

LOL, no question I'm a geek. But man, here I thought I just watched the occasional video for educational purposes. I didn't know I was being some sort of sycophant.
I don't trade. I don't group. My comments reflect that.
Geeks don't watch streams. A geek + attention whore combination may stream, but a pure "geek" has no interest in watching streams on regular basis because a geek will already know the ins and outs of a game.
This message was delivered by GGG defence force.
Geeks are creating games.. Everybody else watches streams.

A person can not know without knowing.

Anyway..... the more people watching a certain streamer that higher chance that more people will watch him so I do not think it is a problem. I doubt most of the people streaming get more than a couple people if any at all. I turn on some of the streams of the people advertising sometimes just to see what they are doing and most have no viewers.

I tried watching some streams but holy shit, it is boring as fuck to watch someone else play this game.

Even worse than watching someone else play the game, is when they are in voice chat and have a group of idiots who talk about dumb shit and won't shut the fuck up.
Remember when I won a screenshot contest and made everyone butt-hurt? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

I enjoy watching streams while eating or instead of watching TV (which mostly contains disappointing program today). I like the ability to interact with small streamers which interact with their community. It is like watching someone gaming and have some fun together, like I often had in my childhood with friends and relatives.

The integration of Twitch is a long-term PR investment which is likely to be relevant in the far future of PoE, when balancing got stronger in this one and races/PvP can be taken to an eSport level. Once it is established in a stable way, I believe that maintaing it on that level is not really expensive but grants some free advertisement.

Twitch streaming is fine, it's just people don't know that there is no audience here.
Kripparian has 2500 viewers average. He is big fish in a very small pond.
