Trade chat macro.

Ive seen similar behaviour, and from the timing of it, its most certainly a macro. My guess is it notifies him in some way everytime he gets a privmsg, at which point he checks to see what its about.

EDIT: I may be wrong, but I thought they disabled /oos months ago, people still use it out of habit though.

It's bannable imo.
You have to understand poe doesnt promote trading like that other game so you have to
manually play and also craft your gear.
While you play and craft your gear also you can't pretend to fullfill all your needs
alone, you should make an effort and craft something now and then and also trade.
I know that it seems strange said like this... but in the end you should kill monster and
drop traders instead of currency and items, that's what poe want.
At the moment tho it only drops shit currency and useless crap items.
But... IT'S BETA.
According to what Chris, using macro that does action that normal player can not do will be banned. So if normal player can do such action manually, it will not banned. Normal player can jump among many trade channels and issue trade chats repeatedly.

So doing such action periodically is perfectly doable by normal player without macro but with some patience and idle time, so doing such action by timer'ed macro won't banned.

If GGG bans such macro, it invalidates the rule that macro action is permitted as long as normal player can do same action without macro.

you are wrong /oos works again :)

btw: a 1 logout button makro(loginscreen not alt f4) shouldnt be allowed to, and i think it should be banabele when streamers like willy promote such things...atleast streamer should be a good prototypical (espacial when it comes to fair play in races)

So tell me - are YOU able to post a trade advertisement, to the top 30 channels, in a few seconds, with the press of a single button? I know I certainly can't.

Those with macros (presumably, from personal observation) can.

That, by definition, breaks the abovementioned rule quite clearly.

Edit:

Quote from Chris on another macroing thread:

Chris wrote:
Any macro that performs more than one action is bannable, as is anything that sends it based on a timer.

It's fine to have a button that causes /oos, or /remaining or casts an aura, but having a timer to repeat actions or a macro to cast all your auras is not allowed. This is because these are things that normal players cannot do, so they give advantages in terms of playing speed.

I haven't edited any posts in this thread but if you could please do so that'd be appreciated. Thanks, guys!
