What kind of music is everyone into?

Retired Techno DJ (Detroit/UK sound). Pre-2004 I'd never used a PC or the internet. My mate gave me a PC to remaster my live mixes to CD for promotional purposes. I was invited to a LAN party & fell in love with gaming. Had to retire from DJing due to ear damage (Doctor's orders) & have become a computer nerd since then.

Learnt drums in high school & daily, listen to metal.. mainly progressive/instrumental djent.

:)
Something quiet and soothing to sit in the background. My job needs a high degree of concentration and I can't afford distraction. This means pretty much anything with clearly distinguishable words is out.
Some kalmah, ensiferum finntroll type stuff.
then some deftones, coheed, circa survive type stuff
then some post rock ambient stuff. Hell even some dub. Real Dub, like Scientist.
I love a vast range of things... hmmm... celtic music, ambient, classical rock, industrial, old punk rock, some rap/hip hop, some dub step... I'm very eclectic. :)
Anything goes so long as it sounds good, is original and generally kicks ass.

You might like MONO.
dub, dubstep, moombahton, dancehall, global bass, tropical bass, rubadub

as u see i like music with beat syncopation and much bass
I listen to a lot of rock and metal, pretty much anything that has a heavy bass or lead/electric guitar, stuff like P.O.D., Thousand Foot Krutch and Disciple. However, if it's very screamo, I won't listen to it. I sometimes listen to rap, nothing very mainstream (can't stan lil wayne or anyone like that), and the occasional dubstep when I'm riding in a friend's car with quality subs.
David Bowie. That is all.

*insert obligatory dubstep*

If I like a particular song, I listen to it. I don't really have any particular genres in mind. :P This means, that I would listen to the likes of One Dolan (oops, Direction) if I liked what they made. Those are my preferences in a nutshell.
