It would really rock to get some insight into the art direction that goes behind the season specific uniques.

I was just at the British Museum and spotted this, which is carved Neapolitan coral, which clearly inspired the artwork for the new Kaom's Sign.



There's obviously a running motif of cameo this season, so it'd be great if we could get the responsible dev to spare some time to talk about how the general aesthetic is conceived and decided upon.

Wouldn't say the art is inspired by that...


...It's just a red women's face....and the rest is Golden Laurel...a very common art design.

I meant the technique and the material, not just that one particular item. I guess I could have worded it better, but a certain degree of extrapolation wouldn't have hurt.

I live a few minutes away from the British Museum, so I could probably photograph a few more items if people are interested. Both cameos and coral items.

For the art of the rewards, we leave it up to the assigned artist to provide the direction.

This sequence of items was made by Eunyoung. She also made the promotional Scion art.

The only direction she received was that it should be angel/sky themed. It was intended to contrast with the PVP rewards made by George that were originally intended to be available at the same time. Erik (the Art director) will have also had feedback and influence throughout the process.

No it's only taking into account the Sockets on the Sword.

Of course not, just that won't do it, you have to mimic the rhoa mating call too.
