You are the one who doesn't get it. You are abusing the noticeboard in a way that it is not meant to be used. There are already 2 official ways of advertising. Make the best of them like 99.9% of everyone else. It's already bad on the noticeboard. Imagine if everyone (or even 5%) did what you are doing.

I can also ask on global chat, then I will probably have a trade within minutes. But I don't do that because I know how annoying people find that.

You have people in this thread strongly telling you how annoying spamming the noticeboard is.

Live and let let live guys. Why mess up someone else's experience just because they do things differently?

You know, that's a great question. Why DO people have to mess up my experience by creating trading "groups" that prevent me from finding people to actually play the game with? Probably because they're assholes.

Are you the same kind of person that gets angry that there are billboards and advertisements everywhere?

Just curious :)

I don't mind billboards in the least. I love me some capitalism, so I've no problem with it at all.

My friends and I use a nearby vacant lot as a get together point for some off-road motorcycling. Sometimes we meet there and then head out of town, but we’ve put a fair about of time into grooming this vacant lot into a mini off-road park. We spoke to the owner once a few years ago and he said he wasn’t planning on developing anytime soon and didn’t care what we did in the meantime.

Now, if one day Honda came in and planted a billboard for their new 125cc in the middle of the course, I’d be pretty pissed. And I wouldn’t give two shits about Honda’s argument for putting advertising where buyers will see it. If the owner of that lot said it was okay, we’d have a different story. But I’ve not seen any approval from GGG for these Trade Groups either. So they can GTFO.

I don't go actively looking around to mess up someone else's experience. I trade fair, am alway in for a friendly discussion and help out whereever I can.

That’s a lie. You know the consequences of your actions and you do it anyway.

It doesn’t even matter. I don't care if you're actively being a jack off or if you’re accidentally being a jack off. Both ways still have the same result.

The use of party names for trade is really the only way I see to efficiently get some trades going.

If you really like it to stop, why don't u join in on looking for a solution? Read the rest of the post you so insightfully replied on. Think for a few seconds. And then reply on that.

If you can’t find another way to trade, you’re not looking hard enough. If you want to sell something right now, drop the price on it real low and then post it to Trade Chat and it’ll sell instantly. If you have a ton of stuff to sell, put it up on the trade forums. Most people looking to buy stuff go through poe.xyz or PoExplorer anyways. Especially the high end items.

The right way to do what you’re doing is to post whatever ad you have to Trade Chat every few minutes.

Also; without trade parties, there would be maybe 3 or 4 parties in the list. Just like on the lower difficulties. How much of an experience is that?

Bullshit. For one thing, you can’t prove that. And, even if it were true, that would allow GGG to then relax the rules on how long a party shows up on the boards. That way when I lose a member after 30 minutes of mapping, I won’t have to go make a whole new group in order to have it show on the list and get someone to join.

Not reading all of this thread, but made a similar thread today because of weaknesses on party-play.

I guess at the current state of the game, whenever you make a public party you are "kickassed".

Means you don´t have the chance to get rid of unwanted players, even if they behave absolutely rude. Kick them and still you will find them in your instance.

So I found only one way around this: Stay in town and announce party in a way that people have to contact you before something is going on. So you can gather the amount and sort of players you want, by telling them to wait until your group is complete. People who are not ready to wait can leave and nobody cries for them. If you got a group that is good for your goals, lock the party up to private.

So far the plan sounds good, but I found in PoE only few people to understand this kind of Party-making. Usually they don´t care and are gone. Often they seem to understand, but after half of the challenge suddenly they need to take part in "familydinner" or similar RL-activities.

Therefore I would really propose to discuss about party-making, the way it is now, is anything else but satisfying and I think there could be much better solutions.
