How to prevent party from entering map?
Its best to leave the party if you don't wish for people to enter the map/area you're in. Alternately you can make the party private and when someone you know goes online you can invite them.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
I am aware that I can prevent this problem by not creating public games. I am making public games so I can advertise what I want to trade at that moment. The problem I solve with that is that I can just play the game without have to spend a crapload of time finding people to trade with (I dont like trading, but I kinda have to) Also, I don't like random people to join my party and map because; * it costs me xp, * it costs me portals, * it costs me items, * the area becomes harder. I just want to play this game by myself. I want a public game to meet people for trade. Keeping trade chat open during gameplay is too disturbing. These is just my personal preference, I understand others like to play the game in another way. The point of me creating this thread is not about why I want this, but about how this can be done. As said previously, I did experience a way to accomplish this although somehow this does not seem to work anymore. Thanks again for replying. I really appreciate u guys trying to help out :) IGN: SugoiNL

" Wanna know what I hate? Checking for public group to join and having 75% of the "groups" being an advertisement for something for sale. Get rid of the "trade groups" that are nothing more than spamming the noticeboard. There is a forum to advertise your stuff for sale not to mention a trade channel. Thanks for the heads up that I can check the "trade groups" and see if they are in maps so I can grief their portals. lol Last edited by robble#7905 on Jul 21, 2013, 4:21:43 PM

I love joining "Trade Groups" and using up their portals and then clearing half their map. It's great fun. Stop cluttering up the LFG Boards with your trade shit.

Live and let let live guys. Why mess up someone else's experience just because they do things differently?
I would love if there was something like a noticeboard in the game where u can advertise what u wanted to trade. Sadly, there is no such thing. And spamming trade chat all day just because I need a few chaos sucks huge donkey balls. Forum u say? Forum trading is a pain in the ass. People not responding, people that are offline, things that have already been bought or sold. etc. If you know a good alternative then I'm all ears. IGN: SugoiNL

" You know, that's a great question. Why DO people have to mess up my experience by creating trading "groups" that prevent me from finding people to actually play the game with? Probably because they're assholes. New Year's Resolutions:

" I don't go actively looking around to mess up someone else's experience. I trade fair, am alway in for a friendly discussion and help out whereever I can. The use of party names for trade is really the only way I see to efficiently get some trades going. If you really like it to stop, why don't u join in on looking for a solution? Read the rest of the post you so insightfully replied on. Think for a few seconds. And then reply on that. Also; without trade parties, there would be maybe 3 or 4 parties in the list. Just like on the lower difficulties. How much of an experience is that? IGN: SugoiNL Last edited by SugoiNL#4588 on Jul 21, 2013, 4:52:28 PM

" You are the one who doesn't get it. You are abusing the noticeboard in a way that it is not meant to be used. There are already 2 official ways of advertising. Make the best of them like 99.9% of everyone else. It's already bad on the noticeboard. Imagine if everyone (or even 5%) did what you are doing. Last edited by robble#7905 on Jul 21, 2013, 4:57:33 PM

" No, I get it. I just have a different opinion. I honestly would not see that as a bad thing. And I can understand that not everyone agrees with me on that. For the last hour+ I've been trying to buy some damned armour scraps via trade chat. Still no one that even responds. Maybe no one even sees my message because everyone is only spamming their own stuff there. Going to forum for a few armour scraps? Then I'd have to find around 10 people that sell them, spam the same msg to everyone and then start hoping to get one reply in a few hours. I can also ask on global chat, then I will probably have a trade within minutes. But I don't do that because I know how annoying people find that. Only option I see left: party names. And I completely understand you saying it is not meant for that. And you're right. It's just the only option I have really. If GGG didn't want us to make trade parties, wouldn't they warn us officialy for that? Or even ban us for doing it? IGN: SugoiNL Last edited by SugoiNL#4588 on Jul 21, 2013, 5:29:02 PM

Anyway, I'm going to abondon this thread. The only winning move here is not to play.
If anyone has a solution to my original question, or knows of an efficient alternative for trading, a private message would be much appreciated! IGN: SugoiNL
