Defuq? I already reinstalled twice, no help, just 12gb unnecessary downloads...
Hi there,

Please trying running a Pack Checkto check for Pack Corruption. The problem may be that your ISP has given you an outdated copy of the game files. If the Pack Check doesn't help I recommend downloading the game through a VPN.
Looking at the error codes and searching about it seems it could be related to Microsoft visual c++ 2010 or lack of, if you have a look in the programs list there should be several c++ ones( i have 9 of them from 2005 to 2010)

You could try installing the 2010 version

the second time I downloaded was through my work's VPN, still no dice. I ran pack check each time, no issues. "All file hashes are in sync"

I will try that

Edit: I downloaded 2010 redist package and it said a newer version was already on my comp, so I uninstalled the version I had and installed the one I downloaded, I will report back if I crash again (should be within an hour)

so this is not game specific, although I would like some insight if anyone has seen this error
Hey kazyn, I have looked into this a little bit and I don't see an easy fix kicking around. It sounds like there could be a few things kicking around, and there are a lot of threads on various forums to do with Exception code: 0xc0000005.

Be careful about some of the ads on this website, but it seems like a generic place to start looking for a solution:

I think this is going to take some hunting on your end to track this down and find a fix. Good luck, I'm sorry that there isn't more that we can do.
