It happens immediately upon playing in any area since 0.9.11, except the chambers of sins.

Fullscreen, the glitches occur with any of the shadow settings.

It happens with any character in any area before I have the chance to use a skill (except in chambers of sins).

all time normally when i port into a new area, or even go back to town via portal

unsure as i mainly only play 1 character,

it started of with dark forest, it would always crash before i managed to get into the new area, now it happens all over the place even when im going into a tp back to town.
(it only happened like i said to get into dark forest until i got some one to tp me at the wp in dark forest after that it started to happen every where)

ive had random disco's recently im unsure if they are related.

How often does this happen?
This usually happens to me after a fairly long period of play, but lately it has been happening more often often "zoning" a few times. It's been worse in parties, particularly today (8/18).

What version of windows do you have?

My main skills are poison arrow with greater multiple projectiles, increased duration, and pierce and;

burning arrow with weapon elemental damage and item quantity

It happens on all my characters, but generally is more frequent in act 2. In act 1, it sometimes happens in caves.

Which areas have you had this happen in?
River Crossing and The Dark Forest are by far the worst areas for it for me. Followed by the Waterfall Caves/Pyramid and Fellshrine Ruins. I have also had it happen in the grotto maps, but I had been playing a while when that one happened.

Not that I recall. Usually the graphics glitch happens first and then I start having crashes/disconnections. Today (8/18) has been exceptionally bad. I have crashed at least 10 times. About 5 of those have been due to the graphics glitch. The others everything seemed to be fine and suddenly I crashed. I had the graphics glitch about 6 or so times when I did NOT crash today, as well.

I just exited the game and restarted those times.

I normally solo or play with one friend. It happens to me in both of those situations. Today, I tried some public groups and it was definitely the worst day I've EVER had for crashing/graphic glitches.

I had just restarted the game due to a graphics glitch when a necromancer type character joined the group and within 5 minutes of his joining I was glitching out badly again and crashed.

The second group when a necromancer joined, I lagged badly and eventually crashed out. I've never had this issue with the game before.

I do have 8GB of ram and have never had problems running games like WoW where there were many people on a raid with very intense graphics at full so I don't think it's my graphics card, but there were a lot of things going on with several hunters and a necro in the group.

Fireball and Firestorm (without any special keystones), my party member used ele hit, poison arrow, fire trap (also no keystones)

it was on a lvl 20 Templar (not my main)

never happened when i played solo, i was partiing this time with a friend (so party size 2)

I know we should post only this answers, but i would like to mention as well that before the graphical glitches began my map disappeared (both mini map and the map when i press 'tab' did not work). Changing instances didn't help (i went to the forest encampment, but my map didn't work there either); restarting the game solved the problems.

I get massive graphical glitches intermittently that are only solved by restarting the client. Usually in pyramid, or in the caves leading to pyramid. It never causes crashes for me, tho.

Dunno. Not often... But I don't play in pyramid often, either.

UPDATE1: Someone further in this thread mentioned a possible cause being related to netbt.sys. While I don't think it does what he think it does, I've disabled netbios so that this file is no longer loaded. I'll update this post again if I continue to experience this bug.

UPDATE2: No, it happened again to me... so, netbt.sys doesn't have anything to do with this.

*I have only one char in act 2 the crashes appears since entered it

*"The Forest" was the first crash, the second was at "Dark Forest" and after that it comes randomly by switching some areas

it happens randomly if i'm in a partie or not, sometimes i play with 2 friends and one it has exactly the same problems we both has an AMD phenom both with ATI GFX Card (5770 & 6950 Series) and both has a Creative X-FI Sound Cards

Look at netbt.sys this driver controlling GFX Cards,SoundCards and Spooler Subsystem!

your problems come from there....on systems with ATI & CREATIVE

I think it has something to do with ATI HD AUDIO DRIVERS AND CREATIVE AUDIO DRIVERS! --nosound fix this so it must be related to the sound drivers device!

Users with Nvidia has grafic glitches and users with ati and mostly creative got crashes in non paged areas
