Your thread and others you linked are really refreshing and inspirational. Most other threads just tend to talk about getting some ueber gear, and max out life/ES.

Guess it was not easy to kill those bosses mentioned in your threads, but you have shown us a new perspective of how far one can push his characters.

that depends on the specific attack. I think Vaal Construct projectiles (and maybe snake projectiles) are in part physical - but Undying Alchemist bombs are 100% chaos (the poison-cloud ones they plant on the floor), as well as Viper Strike stacks.

personally, I gave up on Immortal Call in favour of just Endurance Charges, because I don't have enough sockets for it, and am not quick enough on the keyboard even if I did.
I wish I had Oak's version. the one you don't need charges to use :)
Endurance helped me pretty much face-tank Kole with roughly 1.5k HP, but it did take quite a few Granite Flasks.

a few things I would like to ask you:

1) how in the world did you get Molten Shell to such insane DPS? mine's like 2k or something, and I very rarely use it.

2) how did you get 85% Chaos resistance (in your linked thread)? it's my main's greatest weakness atm, and I fear every damn white Snake/Alchemist/Poison Archer in maps as a result.

About vaal contructs : i always felt that their purple/green projectiles were not necesarily chaos dmg, i am not sure.

Undeying alchemist in all merc were easy ( even with 45 chaos res ), i don't know for maps, i just tried some some crypt maps and found some vipers that were dealing 100 dmg ( i have 600 ) per projectile but had not chaos resist gear :d
I will try maps seriousely when i find the best strategy for lunaris 3.

usually all physical monsters are very easy, that's why i like battlefront.

Answers to your questions :]

1) My molten shell deal so much damage because of some nodes, some gear and a good wand :)
My molten gem has a total level of 20 ( 17 +3 from wand )
I used for kole : concentrated effect and Inc AoE. Without : CE i would do around 5500 dps.



Can't wait to level it up to level 23 :D

2) I was able to reach 80 chaos res because i can switch gear easily i am not bounded to some life crap mods :P ( i chose the path of NO LIFE NODE and NO ES lol am i crazy.. ) AND Saffel's Frame which add +5 to max chaos res ( 75 ).

Chaos resist gear :




( don't pay attention to gems i am just leveling random gems that could help me later )

with the molten shell and str-based character - just link it with iron will for the added and big bang bonus :) also - fire penetration is crazy good. i miss Q version of these gems but still..



i dont use increased-AOE because when it goes up it kills everything pretty much alright.. and i have almost all AOE passives

How much STR do you have ? And how much dps you have with and without iron will ?

Unfortunately i can't use a 4L because my molten is in a +3 wand. And usually i go Molten-Chance to ignite-ele prof. I took CE just for the video, and what are the notable iaoe nodes you took ? I have a few near my build : Amplify // Blast radius.. any other ?
