Is it okay to sell items for money?
" Do you really need to in order to know that RMT is not allowed at this point? What game does allow it? D3 doesn't allow it between players directly or with any site, only in the RMAH, and I can't think of anything else that allows it at all. Last edited by Totemizer#0490 on Jul 7, 2013, 12:36:43 PM

" It's totally fine, GGG not only likes to have people play its game for free, they LOVE players selling items for real cash. GGG hates making money. "the premier Action RPG for hardcore gamers." -GGG Happy hunting/fishing Last edited by Totemizer#0490 on Jul 7, 2013, 12:37:11 PM

" D3's "money grabbing auction house" was hardly the problem. Any Auction house is the problem, and the gold one far more than the RMAH as it devalued items so quick that 99.999999999% of items you farm can't compare to something worth 10k. The RMAH is more active in higher end items, so all those low end items that make farming a waste of time wouldn't even be listed on it. Anyways, I made more than 2x the cost of my CE on that money grabbing auction house. It was one of the best parts of the game for me. No AH is the best option, but if you have an AH your economy is done for anyways, so why not let players make some cash? " How exactly does player to player trading affect GGG's income? Their income relies on the goodwill of the players. If they didn't keep RMT out of the game, they'd not develop a devoted playerbase.

If players can buy the best items available for cash directly from parties not affiliated with GGG, then that circumvents the point of the game - grinding for gear. if a player does not grind for gear, they will most likely not play it that long. If a player doesn't play the game for long they will be less inclined to purchase cosmetic items. Hence, selling items on RMT sites negatively impacts GGG's bottom line.

Is it allowed? NO
Do people do it: YES DO people get banned for it? NOT REALLY What does not really mean? Well the likely hood of you getting banned is soooo tiny that for many people its worth the risk/reward. I have friends that been using RMT since the game launched into open beta last February and literally do shopping sprees every week and they have never been actioned. At the end of the day, everyone will tell you not to do it, when prolly many of those same people actually do it to lol... So DONT DO IT...but what you actually end up doing is your decision...
