Sooo, only female ranger?

Gender locked classes are the one of the worst things that have ever happened to online games, or games in general. I hate it.

Heh, I'm happy that it's at least not locked on a dude ;) I'm a female and I don't like to play male characters... So I can feel you dude and I hope they will introduce the male/female choice (though, I'm not so sure they would) :) I guess this might just be old-school char choice :)

It is a bit annoying. Surely it wouldn't be that hard to change gender of the class? Wouldn't it just be a case of changing the player model Because most of the animation would be the same, or is it a bit more complicated than that? :P

Although Gender locked games do annoy me a bit, from the gameplay I have seen, you could pretty much be any class, and use any weapon so if you care whether or not youre a guy or girl, you could probably choose someone like the duelist who I think uses dexterity which is the same as the archer, so just equip a bow on that guy :D.

I know Duelist is str/dex I wonder if it would make much diffence if you only went into dex? :P

Very little difference between Ranger and Bow Duelist. If you were to spend all your passives in the dexterity tree (worst case scenario for this example) the difference would be about 200 dex simply because of how the 2 classes gain stats. Of course choosing Duelist means he can take advantage of strength based passives better than the Ranger can. Because of how the items and skills work it's possible to use bow with any class really, though a pure bow build would best suit Ranger. So if you really care about min/max and don't like playing a girl, sorry you're out of luck.

It really doesn't matter to me, I don't mind playing either gender. Although I can understand people having a preference.

I sadly don't understand peoples hate to a locked gender. I can understand slight disappointment when you can't choose a gender, but the people who can get extremely frustrated and even angry at the game/developers don't make sense to me.

I prefer the devs working on what they want, which at this time is skills, maps, enemies(from what ive seen) you know? The stuff you need to actually enjoy the game. Not just a remake of a skin.
