Lvl 55 and No dmg

Hey guys,

i am lvl 55 Bow ranger( DPS: Around 500) This is my very first character so i dont know a lot about builds and stuff. I just got into merciless but i fell like i dont do any dmg. I mostly go in groups because i without i would fail hard. I dont know what i am doing wrong! I like the game pretty much but since i feel like i am not worth anyhting the joy of playing decreases!

Any tips or help? Should I try to start trading so i get better equpiment? But i think i dont have enough orbs and also i dont understand the trading system that good :p

You might want to post your build and your gear. It will be hard to get specific advice without knowing your details. There are plenty of great resources in the Ranger forum, so if you haven't already you might check out some of the guides there.

Here are a few suggestions.

1) You've taken a lot of physical damage passives, but you're using an elemental damage bow. I would either use a physical bow or switch to elemental damage nodes and use weapon elemental damage support gem.

2) It doesn't make sense to use both Life on Hit and Mana Leech with Rain of Arrows. Use Life on Hit only if you're running Blood Magic (which you are not).

3) Increased AoE with Lightning Arrows is a waste.

4) What are you using for single target? I would recommend Frenzy or Poison Arrow (Personally I use Frenzy to get 3 charges then Poison Arrow with Faster Attacks and Weapon Elemental Damage)

5) I prefer using Blood Magic until I get a 5L or 6L. Then you don't have to worry about mana at all. The downside is I am limited to what auras I can run, but I do manage to run with Wrath, Grace and Anger (all of these are fixed mana reserve, not % based like Haste).

6) What's up with your helm? I find it hard to believe that you can't find a better helm than that. It has no useful stat on it for you (you probably need int and str more than dex at this point).
