'Creep Blocking'
A lot of times, you'll find your path being blocked by monsters. It can be tedious (sometimes to a fatal extent) to navigate around them. Some games have ways to make you essentially "ghost" through monsters without the hassle of being blocked, though it's usually not a default perk.
Is this something we may see in the future on a passive node, skill gem, or item mod? |

There are several skill gems that allow this, Shield Charge and Whirling Blades being common. I believe there's also a delayed teleport skill as well.
Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins;
You will raise up the age-old foundations. And you will be called Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of the Streets in Which to Dwell. |

Hm, I meant as a regular, passive means of movement or something with a lengthy duration, not something that would have lead to 'jumpy' movement around the map. For example, I was surprised that Phase Run didn't offer this feature. The teleport skill you're referring to is Lightning Warp. And yes, Leap Slam, Shield Charge, and Whirling Blades do move through enemies.

I understand what you are saying but I believe that we as gamers have been spoiled because in reality you can't move past a physical object just because you want to. Yes this is a game but that's not the point. While we are at it why don't we ask for GGG to make it possible to walk through walls when we please without a skill or anything. Not trying to be mean I just think you're missing the point of monsters not being just dangerous to our health but also an annoyance and quite literally a road block sometimes.

" Short answer? No. Slightly longer answer: This is an intentional feature of monsters (and players, for that matter). I have wandered through insanity;
I have walked the spiral out. Heard its twisted dreamed inanity In a whisper, in a shout. In the babbling cacophony The refrains are all the same: "[permutations of humanity] are unworthy of the name!" |

I realize it's intentional and meant to be a "road block" (quite literally). Adding it to your build would mean losing out on something else (whether it be an additional item mod, a skill slot, or a passive node). Of course, it's completely optional for the developers to include such an option, but there are definitely builds which could utilize it well.
I'm not asking to move through walls or anything silly like that (although leap slam/lightning warp can, in a way, already do this). This isn't anything new to gaming, so I figured it couldn't hurt to ask if GGG had it in their development plans. EDIT: I'm not asking them to include such a feature, I'm asking if they have plans to. There's a difference, and the outcome matters little - I just wanted to know if it was something I should plan for with my builds. Last edited by MonopolyLegend#6284 on Aug 8, 2012, 1:34:34 PM

This would make a pretty cool Keystone or major passive in the Shadow area. I don't see any reason not to have it, honestly.
No plans for it, but hey, you never know. Ancient and unwise, SSF only since 2012 Last edited by Caiada#0297 on Aug 8, 2012, 1:39:31 PM

Shadow already has whirlwind blades or something similar. I believe that it should somewhere in the middle so that all classes could utilize it.

Whirling Blades, Leap Attack, or Lightning Warp, pick your flavor.

Completely removing the danger involved in being surrounded or blocked in would be incredibly powerful. That's why I doubt the devs would ever add such a passive ability (via "always on" passive skills or gear mods).
You did ask if it would be included on skill gems, which others have already pointed out already exists. They come at the price of cast/attack speed, mana, and the risk of being interrupted, so you have to use them wisely to avoid being blocked in or surrounded. Closed Beta/Alpha Tester back after a 10-year hiatus. First in the credits! Last edited by WhiteBoy#6717 on Aug 8, 2012, 7:54:19 PM
