Is it worth playing WOW in 2018? Never played it but have always wanted to give it a go at this point from all I’ve read just seems like it would be a waste of time and money as leveling is a joke and the progress to end game is disjointed...thoughts?

No, its not worth to play WoW in 2018.

Starting from Cataclysm and more with every addon developers started to simplify and casualize every aspect of the game, starting from skills, talents and so on. Leveling is a joke, skill trees are non-existend, zero complexity, PvP is a joke (horrible balance like in every blizz game, OW is good example too), world PvP is joke (there are no such thing anymore), PvE... well, its only thing thats left, even this is questionable. You dont feel any connection to your character, there is no complexity or uniqeness. And, lol, you need to pay every months to play that. What a waste.

I play Warframe sometimes. Cosmic ninja gameplay, missions, grind, relic farming. Can be boring of course, but it certainly has 500-1000 hrs of decent gameplay, no problem with that. But in the end you got powercreep, boring trade, cheese warframe abilities. Like, im MR21, entering a mission and there are guys who just slay everything in their pass you cant even touch mobs all are dead even before you notice them. With certain warframes like Ember, so balancing problems are there, and there are no challange like in 95% content of the game anyways. But it can be fun at first, and in can be fun with friends.

Yes I play Diablo 3. Its too beautiful and stylish just to ignore it, so I log in at every season, going to 90 rift in average and getting bored.

I looked at Wolcen and I cant see for now how that game can be better than D3 or PoE in nearest 2-3 years. Actually there are already quite questionable decisions from developers "apocalyptic mode, how the fuck can they come up with this shitty idea", so I dont have any faith in that thing. It can be looked at after few years will pass from this moment, but my expectations are very, very pessimistic.

There are no game that fully satisfies me nowadays. Magic is gone, well, maybe this period in my life is over and my demands in terms of game's quality are too high.
