Introducing: The Spear!

Haha, ScrotieMcB. That was my first thought when I read the title.

Anyway, I like the idea, but I don't think spears, glaives or whatever make it into the game.
Moreover, javelins as thrown weapons are rather strange in a game like PoE (and were so in D2). Roman legionaries had ONE pilum to throw and it was single use, since most of the time it got bent when it hit.

So, would this be like a boomerang effect or would you have to pick up the thrown weapon after each use?
You shouldn't be able to throw a staff, two handed mace etc. - I think this would look silly.

It could be thrown actually - that would be a nice skill gem. Also something like pantheons heartseeker strike melee aoe would be awesome.
