ES Melee Shadow (R/G only gems) is unfeasible to play
I've come to the conclusion that I'm just gonna quit for now until I decide what I will really find some reason to change my mind in the future. I don't have what it takes to remake more characters, it's getting boring as fuck rerolling. I like claws, but it's tedious and arduous and hugely onerous to go through all that crap that I went through. To go 67 levels and waste another 100 hours on this game for another character is insanity.
That's not to say this game isn't fun, it's just a time vortex that no other game is. Even take a single player game like Fallout or Skyrim, those games you feel like the returns are worth it. Here, I feel like I'm putting in 10x more time and getting 10x less. Played Fallout for 100 hours and nearly got the best stuff in the game, although still not beat. At least I feel a sense of achievement. I don't want to feel a sense of setbacks constantly. That's why I play, to achieve, not to grind my hours into oblivion and say: damn, I did all this and got how far? You would prolly have better luck getting those color combos w/ a armor/es hybrid chest. You could prolly by a rrrgg + b fairly easy in armor/es.
I am confused why at lvl 67 you feel you should have a 6 link since 6 links are meant to be endgame and why you feel that w/o running a bunch of toons up and having some endgame toons you should have the currency to make all off color sockets. Build your toon around 4 links. You should be able to do content into your 70s on 4 links. I actually have a couple toons I made 5 links for and didn't notice a huge difference, but I also didn't base my builds around having those links. |

I don't know why you thought I need a 6L or even had one, considering I had a 5L but I couldn't roll a RRRGG on it. I spent close to 600 chromatics, and I'm broke. It's this piece of armor:
I had a RRRGGB on it, but I wanted to switch that last blue to a green because I had no more slots in other items to put my gem in (I know, stupid reason). After failing too many times, I thought forget it. And technically, "end-game" is when you complete all quests and are above the last area's level (which is 67, catacombs). However, if you define "end game" as being powerful beyond anyone's comprehension, then no one has reached there except for one dude who is level 100. That's true end game. Don't tell me end-game is not level 67. It sure is. From there you can do maps, but those are nothing more than higher level areas with 0 appeal except to get better items. There's nothing left to do. Okay, if you want to get technical, level 71 or 72 because that's when the last piece of armor is available with that level requirement. For energy users, end-game is level 68, the highest level armor available. I don't know weapons that go beyond that, either. So, I don't know your definition, but having 3k DPS at level 67 is not enough to solo when you only have 1k ES (with that chest) or 600 base (without that chest). The life leech just doesn't keep up with the beating I was getting. Not only does it force me to play in groups, but I have over 400 or 500 deaths at this level. It's really difficult to level solo, and in groups it's not any better except that you're able to run around more without doing as much because no one will notice to kick you out for doing nothing. Not sure why you don't just simply use a hybrid chest. Would save you a lot of headaches.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

It's too late. I already deleted. The reason being is that I couldn't find anyone who would sell one for less than an exalted. They all wanted pures, and I don't have that. No one had an armor / es chest, even a blank one. The market has become: chaos, gcp, exalt. Don't have either of them? Tough luck.

So, you had the colors you wanted but kept rolling? In all honesty, that was your fault. You made quite a few mistakes, including investing in that chest. It's no wonder you're having a hard time.
Best of luck with whatever you're switching to. |
