ES Melee Shadow (R/G only gems) is unfeasible to play

RRRRGG on an energy chest. Try to roll that. I had a RRGGBB, thought I could do RRRGG, but found that it was the worst decision of my life (PoE). Shadow not only is forced to play energy, but there are NO armor nodes anywhere close to him, and evasion is insufficient. One must basically go into other trees because all Shadow is good for is elemental damage. Total suckage.
My character is now fucked because the only thing I can use is Tabula Rasa after rerolling my chest and effectively making me useless. and I'm not rich enough to buy that because I have no exalted orbs. What a joke... Anyone else on this? Roll me a GGRRRR on an energy chest of any level and then I'll play. I can't play a char with 600 ES bare and no chest.

There, I fixed it. And it's not MY melee shadow, it's ANYONE who is looking to do ES and doesn't want any blue (useless) supports. Have you ever thought about it? There are no good support gems that are blue for a melee char looking to do damage.
I wish GGG would do something about this. It's game-play crippling. I want to cry because I've got nothing I can do with this and I don't wanna delete a level 67 and start over. Blue suppprts are "useless"? LOL.
I run a pure eva shadow with claws. Its all about hp, lifesteal, and moving around, choosing your entrances and exits skillfully. Crit gems are blue. Im not endgame yet, and I was worried for a while about his survivabiliy...but things are going pretty smoothly in merc. |

And what if I don't want to use Crit gems? Ever thought about it? There are swords and daggers that are around a Shadow. What if I want to use those instead? Point is, a Shadow can never use armor because there are no nodes around there for that. That sucks hardcore.

That really sucks. It seems I shall remake, go with duelist, and go into the Shadow tree. Gotcha. And I will do armour. Specifically armour and EV. The hell with the other stuff.
