Dual totem sporker sucking. Lv 68.

So was leveling with discharge, and it was doing great. Would 1 hit a group of mobs no problem etc. Well decided to finally switch to dual spork, and holy fucking shit does it suck, at least for me. Atm my damage is 200 spark. Using moonsorrow and rathpith. Totems literally die before they get off any damage, and there's no fucking way I'm going to kill a resist light around my level. lol.

So, what are some things I could be doing wrong? My build is off dom's last shadow sporker from the last 1 month race. Not using pain attunment or anything, as I'll be going CI. I thought this build was nooby friendly and didn't require much gear, but from what I'm seeing discharger seems a fuck ton better.

Another thing to note, my spell totem gem is also not leveled, is that what increases totem life?

have you tried to - I don't know - level the gems?

run around lower level areas until both totems and sparks reach sufficient level, or just have them equipped but still crush stuff with Discharge, while your gems level?

Shadow: That was fun

I have been doing that, that's how I leveled spark. Spell totem apparently only gains 1.5% life per level. Which isn't much more.

Edit: Another thing to ask, is pain attunement and righteous needed to actually do damage with spork? I was told that this build can fast clear almost as fast as discharge, without much gear requirement. I have about 1.5 ex worth of gear on from wep and shield alone. Discharge I was using a 6 chaos searing touch lol. It's just really disappointing because I was looking forward to this build. But I'm not seeing how a 1 level diff from spark, and 15% life gain on totem can make THAT much of difference. I mean I literally cannot kill shit in SARN, especially the light immunes.

IF you want to clear everything fast, you actually need good fear for sporker, lots of crit/critical damage nodes but with the nerf to spark crit chance its bit harder but still achievable. Most dmg comes from righteous fire tho, if you can utilize rghteous fire its op with almost any skill.
See, this I didn't know. I may actually just respec back to discharger, it'll cost around 7 regrets, but screw it. lol. I should've known better than to just listen to everyone else.
I can't do maps with righteous or pain attunement. Unless I get shav, which is kind of hard on onslaught. What also sucks is I just wasted all that currency buying the wand and shield for sporker, but I suppose I'll try and sell.

But from what I've heard was, "Dual spork doesn't need much gear, around higher levels you'll be completely OP, own everything with ease." Complete opposite, and the build I was leveling with ((Discharger.)) Has been doing just that, however it's definitely a bit more risky.
What level is your spark.?

Spark is level 15, as I said above. I'm really just not seeing how dual totem spork can be nearly as good as discharge. ((Even though I have more currency spent in the spork gear.))
Unless I were to get shav's, or planned on simply doing specific locations with low life for increased damage. I'm really hoping for someone to tell me different, this build looked fun, but as I said before, it's sucking ass compared to discharge atm.
post your gear and spec so we can help you.
You have 5 more levels. Your dps will improve alot as your gem levels.

Also if you really don't like it this much, don't play it....

Gear I'm currently using. Level 68 at the moment. Already getting respec to go back to discharge, and trying to sell the gear. I'm guessing levels on spark mean a lot more? Idk. But as I said at the moment the dps just isn't there. I understand my gear isn't "godly" by any means, but the only difference with discharge is I'm using a 4l searing touch with bad stats, and 1 shotting mobs around my level.

Besides, I waited til 68 to switch because I figured that was when spark finally "Got good."
Another question though, is it true the only way I'm going to do damage like I want, ((almost as fast as discharge with killing.)) is with pain atunement etc?
